Indoors, they have some interesting displays of guns, knives, bayonets, uniforms and all kinds of other military gear. It's kind of a hodgepodge but lots of fun to wander through. It is being poorly ran, the director and assistant director act clueless and the people they are hiring are unqualified to be around kids. I was unclear if some of the teachers even like kids with how poorly they treat them. My grandson was not properly integrated into the daycare on his first couple weeks, they ignored him while he was scared and new and balling his eyes out. There is no kind of nurturing that is provided from the teachers. Some of the teachers are cold and mean to the kids. The kids are unsupervised at times and climb the walls and stand on bookshelves, things that could lead to injuries. They also hit each other while the teachers pay no mind. The food offerings are gross and no effort is put into the food-at all. He would have poopy diapers when we would pick him up. They will leave your kid staring at the wall for over 2 hrs at nap time and give them no attention at all. They have live video and it made my stomach turn to watch how poorly he was being cared for, hence why I removed him as quickly as possible. I voiced my concerns and made it clear I was angry and unhappy with their care and Sydney (the director) never attempted to address any of it or even acknowledge it. Do not leave your child here. All you have to do is watch the live video feed and in one day, you'll be appalled at how this place is operating. I honestly don't know how they have any clients at this point. We found an amazing daycare since then and now we can have peace of mind our little guy is getting his needs met while in daycare. Corporate needs to get involved and do something about the 6th St La Petite.

All of the teachers and staff members of LMS had been always so pleasant and upbeat. They created a really positive, enriched learning environment for the kids. They took such wonderful care of our son and truly had a passion for what they do. The curriculum was very carefully considered and varied week-to-week. I also have to give a shout-out to Ms. Amanda and Ms. Sophie in the Hummingbird room. They helped me through some of his more difficult times with toilet training and drop-off anxiety, as well as the 'terrible two' stages. Our son had been learning by leaps and bounds thanks to his awesome teachers! Furthermore, the managerial staff of LMS, Ms. Purviz and Ms. Sonja, helped ease my mind and were always there to give advice when I needed it. I always felt very comfortable talking to them about anything that comes to mind, and they are attentive to our feedback as well. I highly recommend LMS!

The museum features numerous miniatures, mementos, diagrams and dioramas that are described by a recording that plays on loop throughout the day. At the entrance to the museum is a seat where a curator may have once sat, but next to it is a sign that reads "Will return in five minutes." The individual must have gotten lost years ago, because in all of my visits to the hotel I have never seen anyone sitting there. The museum is a wonderful way to pass twenty to thirty minutes if you have a break in whatever conference you are attending at the hotel. The museum takes guests through each American war chronologically. The collection was started by a Mr. Holley who built models and dioramas in his basement as a hobby. After his death others have added their memorabilia and memories to what eventually became the exhibit that is on display now. There are sections on women in the military, buffalo soldiers, Navajo wind talkers, as well as more conventional military history. If you are looking for a diversion it's a fun oddity to come across randomly as part of the hotel. If you invest the experience with any prior expectations it would be disappointing, however. I definitely enjoyed the museum and if you're in the hotel for other business I highly recommend popping in to check it out.

My mother fought for 2 weeks in hospice and finally passed away and we couldn't have gotten through this very hard time as a family without this wonderful place and its staff. They took care of my mother so well and really made her last 2 weeks and ours with her so great. The Dr's, Chaplins, kitchen staff, and volunteers were great. The real heroes were the nursing staff and I honestly owe all the wonderful ladies that cared for my mom everything. Emily, Jodi, Sami, Dorothy, Autumn, Jodie, Kaylee, Melissa, Sarah, Michele, Elisa, and Ashley you all have a special place in my heart forever and I consider you all true angels. I can never thank you enough and bless all of you. I was going through the recent passing of my mother at the time and I do graphic design and I wanted to do a huge blown up tribute to my mother. I wanted to make sure that the picture was clear and beautiful and I just wasn't sure about all the other places about whether they could deliver what I wanted. So when I came to this place I came with a little hesitancy and uncertainty mainly due to the request that I was needing and the sincerity and urgency of my need. First of all the staff were extremely friendly and offered their condolences for my loss. When I showed them what I had made they even complimented me on it and when I expressed to them what I wanted they immediately assured me that they could do so. I was even given the option of choosing to wait while it was completed, or I could leave and return. Due to the nature of my need, I decided to stay and wait. The finished product was absolutely beautiful they gave me exactly what I asked for and for a beautiful price, they did such a wonderful job with the first tribute that I made a second one in honor of my mom and they did wonderful with it as well. A lot of the prices in town were pretty expensive compared to this place so I had decided from that day forward that any printing work that I need it done this would be the place I come to. Little did I know that six months after my mom passed, I would be coming again for pretty much the same thing when my mom's sister passed away and her family was seeking my graphic design ability to do a tribute to their mom which was my aunt. Copyco came through again and blew up the picture to the beautiful size that I needed . it was so beautifully done. They have never let me down and everything that I've asked them to do and to do it under the pressure due to the situation of grieving and loss, They came through like troopers. Surprisingly enough, Lawrence is a cool college town but there are little options for people who…read moreneed binding or photocopying. There is FedEx Kinko's downtown and who wants to brave traffic and parking for one binding job? Not me. There is Office Depot but they charge an great deal more than Copy Co for the same job. Copy Co has been in a business for a long time. They never seem to have a large volume of business but they are always steady with customers. I have never had to wait in line for very long and, even if you did, they make it pleasant. There is a bank of couches lined up against a wall just for customers who are waiting for orders. Darn it! I've never had such luck. They look so comfy I do not think I would mind waiting. The staff is always friendly and they understand what you need even when your job might be unusual. They have made special customized creations for me when a particular need arose, too. All their work has been high quality and reasonably priced. I have made black/white and color copies there, personalized calendars, book and project binding and lamination services. I have never been disappointed in the finished product. Copy Co has also produced my work in a timely manner. I have never had to wonder when my projects would be finished. I like the piece of mind this allows me. It is easy to access the store, too. There is no problem with parking or ease of access. Easy in, easy out. Highly recommended for the types of jobs that need to be done inexpensively, quickly and dependably.
