Our server offered our group of 7 two tables pushed together near the front, explaining that the back was hotter since that's where they cook the steaks on the Big Green Egg (her English was very good). The server lugged out a very heavy rack of beers and even heavier rack of wine bottles for our perusal. Drinks chosen, we were presented with a vocal list of appetizers...meatballs, Camembert cheese, bone marrow and steak tartar. We chose the tartar. It was abundant and excellent. The dinner "menu" consisted of a large board with the 6 or 7 cuts of steak available. (They did offer a veggie burger for our lone vegetarian) Most steaks are offered at a 300g portion, but the tomahawk and porterhouse were huuuge. Steaks and temperatures were selected. They came out promptly, properly cooked and delicious. They were accompanied by group salads, fries, baked beans, roasted squash and a peppercorn sauce for the steaks. There is no printed menu, they just bring out the different cuts of the day and you pick the one you prefer. After they grill it on the green-egg and they serve it with beautiful cooked fries, salad, veggies and two sauces. Needless to say that they cook the meat to perfection... a fantastic medium rare! The bread and butter was perfection for an appetizer! I ordered a New Zealand filet and my husband got a t bone. We also ordered fries, beans and rice and a salad. Everything was melt in your mouth amazing. The beans were a little dry but the flavor was amazing so I ate them anyway. For dessert we had a fruit salad which came with ice cream. And by the time we left I was so full and happy. I would definitely try this place out! Don't forget to make a reservation if it's the weekend as all the restaurants in the area get very busy!

If I tell you we drive a combined total of almost two hours for the steaks these guys serve.. And we keep going back for more. I think I've said enough! Let's start with the setting.. It's an old farm totally refurbished, they have a wine cellar, whiskey and gin bar up the attic, half open kitchen and the dining hall is located in sort of a green house (winter garden). As far as you can see around you is a hilly landscape full of fields which adds to the total farm experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they're good with kids (in the summer time there's a bouncy castle, sheep to look at and go-carts for kids) and they get a lot of foreign customers and treat them as well as they can. The wine selection is good, and you can even go and get a bottle in the wine cellar. You always get home made potato chips, ham and bread as appetizers, followed up by some black pudding sausage, meat salad etc. all products from the butchers shop they run.. And you can take all these products with you when you go home. Let's move on to the meat.. It's not the cheapest but it's the best as far as I know. They serve two kinds of meat.. Veal or junior beef (all own bred cattle), I always tend to go for the last one since I prefer red meat and veal tends to be a lot lighter. Your knife will literally slide trough this tasty redness. I'm also very keen on the extra herb "crust" they put on the meat if you ask them.. Delicious!! The desserts are ok and the coffee is always accompanied by fresh apple cake. The only thing I'm not so fond of is the buffet style salad bar, but I'm not a rabbit so no harm done! Good job guys, keep up the good work.

This is my second visit to Rodeo within the last year. It is a pretty popular place for meat…read morelovers, so if you are looking to fulfill the carnivore in you - you may want to make this place your home. The menu has a really nice selection of both cold and warm starters, and the salad selection is above average for most places. They also have a small tapas menu, offer soups, fajitas, seafood and even lambchops. On top of all this, they also have one of the largest selections of steak cuts I have ever seen in Eindhoven. Here you will find flank steak, top sirloin, tenderloin and ribeye - and in a variety of different sizes. For quick reference, the steaks come in various sizes (grams). Here's a quick way to determine how much meat your getting with the portions that Rodeo offers for the steaks: 180g (6.34oz), 250g (8.8oz), 350g (12.3oz), 450g (15.8oz), 600g (21oz). On this visit, i had the small bbq ribs as a starter. This was just right as an appetizer. It's a small plate with 6-7 spare ribs that are lightly sauced and seasoned and they tasted pretty good. I would definitely order them again. For my main course I went with the mixed kabob tenderloin (250 gram) plate. This came with a small piece of beef tenderloin and two chicken cutlets that have been pounded flat. The steak was cooked medium - exactly as I ordered it, and the chicken was done perfectly without being overcooked. Both the chicken and beef tasted great. They also brought out with the plate potato gratin and a bowl with some small frites and mayo to dip them in. I would definitely come back here again. I've had good experiences both times and the quality of the food is definitely superior here. Just be aware that the average bill here tends to be higher than for other restaurants in the area. That being said, if you like a good steak, you will definitely want to give them a try yourself.
