The windy dirt road leading up to the resort was something this city girl was not used to, and the lack of signs for the resort was a little disconcerting as well. But once you get there, the main office where you check in is conveniently located right behind the stone gates where you first enter the resort. The view of the mountain and the lake is magnificent, the food catered at the wedding was delicious, and the activity center was fully equipped with badminton, ping pong, swings, kids play house, bocce ball, soccer, basketball.. etc. Overall, great vacation at a great resort. Highly recommended if you want to get away from reality for a few days.

It is a meticulously maintained place, with scattered cabins surrounding a small lake and mountains. It feels private, safe, and secluded. The campsite was gorgeous, too. I do not know if the restaurant is under new management or not, but everything we had gone there for in the past is gone. We were seated promptly, but it took about 5 minutes before our order was taken, another 20 minutes for it to arrive. My wife's order was horrible, one poached egg was good, the other under cooked. She had ordered tomatoes instead of hash browns, but got hash browns. We had on cup of coffee each, small cups and no refills, a bit much for $3.00 a cup. Not once did anyone come by to see if our meals were alright. The hash browns on both orders were burnt. I had a seafood omelette, which was good, but far too much holandais sauce. In addition, there was no water served or offered. When our server, who we are assuming is the manager came to collect our dishes and mostly uneaten meals, my wife informed him of the egg and the hash brown error, he took one cup of coffee off the bill. For a place that was so good in the past has now become a place to avoid. I would highly recommend looking for a different spot to eat in Clearwater BC.

There's a cafe attached to the hotel with very good home-cooked meals. Much of what they serve is house-made (fresh home-made bread for your morning's toast). Food can be a bit slow to come out of the kitchen when they're busy, but it's worth the wait, and it's not crazy-long, just a bit long.
