I've been trying to find the words to write this review because this experience meant so much more to me than just taking photos.
First, let's talk about Jasper. I honestly don't know if there's a person on earth she couldn't get along with. She has one of those rare personalities that immediately puts you at ease. Warm, encouraging, funny, and genuinely kind. Within minutes, it felt like I was spending the day with a friend instead of someone I'd just met.
She also has an incredible team. The hair and makeup artists, Gel and Gem, were phenomenal. As a mixed-race woman with naturally curly hair, I was a little nervous about how everything would come together, but they absolutely nailed it. My husband was so impressed that he told me this should be my signature look anytime we have a special event.
But what truly sets Jasper apart is her gift for seeing people. My husband and I have a relationship that's difficult to explain with words. Somehow, without needing a long explanation, Jasper captured that unspoken part of who we are. She understood the assignment before I even knew how to describe it.
These were actually maternity boudoir photos. Pregnancy and childbirth have always made me feel vulnerable. Before welcoming our son, I wanted to create something meaningful for my husband, something that reflected who I am as his wife, the mother of our children, and the woman he fell in love with. Childbirth is beautiful, but it's also unpredictable. This session became my way of celebrating this season of life, embracing my femininity, and leaving nothing unsaid.
And yes... somehow Jasper still made me feel absolutely beautiful while I was about to pop.
The truth is, I had really struggled with how I looked during pregnancy. Then I saw these photos.
For the first time in a long time, I didn't see the flaws I'd been focusing on. I saw strength. I saw beauty. I saw confidence. I saw the woman my husband has always seen.
That is an incredible gift.
Women spend so much of our lives criticizing ourselves. We pick apart every detail when the reality is that our bodies are capable of extraordinary things. Jasper reminded me that femininity doesn't disappear during pregnancy, it simply takes on a different kind of beauty.
This experience gave me more than gorgeous photographs. It gave me confidence, perspective, and memories that I know my husband and I will treasure for the rest of our lives.
Thank you, Jasper, for seeing me the way I couldn't see myself. That is a gift I'll never forget. read more
