I got a medical cannabis card due to severe painful symptoms some diseases I have create. I tried pot very little times over my 50+ years. Mostly for recreational use and always smoked. I have many health conditions that cause moderate to severe pain and my Nurse practitioner cannot prescribe any additional anti-inflammatory medicines as she doesn't want me to ruin my kidneys. After waiting a few weeks just to be reviewed at a pain clinic, I had to wait a couple more for multiple steroid injections in my neck. Meanwhile I am in agony as most of my neck is messed up and the surgeon wants to operate. But I want to try other options to see if it will help before the inevitable surgery which would be scheduled possibly months from now.
So, on the day my card arrived I asked a friend if he could take me to a shop. By chance we went to JARS because he had known someone else went into a different but close by place that had a long wait. My impression of JARS was of a brightly lit establishment which had security staff and was very clean. It was easy to check in ata little after 7 p.m. I t reminded me of the specialty stores up north that are well stocked, clean, and want your business. I explained some of my symptoms with the level of severity both at night and day. I was waited upon by a very nice gal named Jessica (give that gal a raise) who answered every question and suggested what probably could work the best for me. She did all of this in a short time (my friend and I had a timeframe of less than 20 minutes), and I felt like if I wanted I could of welcomely stayed and continued to ask questions. But Jessica not only knew cannabis she knew about pain and other conditions that cannabis can treat.
It's only my 3rd day on cannabis gummies, but if they continue to work as well for me or possibly later a change to a different edible, lotion, or whatever it is you can buy to make your own edibles, I'm happier. Before this I had months of suffering and insomnia from it. I was losing hope. Last thing is it was more affordable than I realized and being on disability and disabled income is lower than part time minimum wage workers make. And I get a medical discount because of my cannabis card. Even if you are a recreational imbiber please vote for people who could make insurance pay for medical use. Ok got to add 1 negative is there weren't any sugar free edibles in stock but I was given the gummies without the extra sugar coating. See Jessica knew her stuff!
