The coffee was also very tasty, with waitresses swinging by nearly every 5 minutes asking if we wanted coffee refills. I ordered the chorizo and egg plate which came with chilaquiles, refried beans, and a big flour tortilla. I also added a side of bacon and used half the tortilla to make one of my favorite breakfast tacos (chorizo and egg with beans and bacon). The serving sizes are huge. Even my dad didn't finish his plate. Mom ordered a breakfast plate that included pancakes and the pancakes were so fluffy looking. The only downside was that the ceilings were so high the noise carried too much, so it was very loud inside. But otherwise the food, service, and prices were great.

The pricing was good and the plates were plentiful, biggest upset was finding a bug in our fideos (noodle soup) but we were able to get past it once our entrees arrived. I had enchiladas covered in a tomatillo sauce. I hate tomatillo. I did eat it, and did not complain because it is my own error of not asking what it was. I do have to say all the food needed salt, but that's my own preference. The beans were good and so was the fideo. My boyfriend got a meat flour tortilla. He said the meat tasted old. We will probably try again just ask more questions about the food. Overall it wasn't terrible just bad choices on our parts.

Our experience with the food, however, was a bit mixed. While everything was prepared well, the flavors were much milder than we were expecting, and the dishes felt a little under-seasoned for our taste. To us, it's not what we expected a Mexican restaurant to be, being so close to the border. We also felt the prices were a bit high for the overall experience. Everyone's taste is different, and it's clear this restaurant has many loyal customers. For us, we were simply hoping for a little more bold, authentic flavor.
