I threw a figurative dart at the Yelp apartment brokers listed and called J. Alex. He took his time with me and went over the different options with and without a broker. Having interviewed several agents, I really liked their approach, friendly, professional but not pushy. They offered guidance that was surprisingly different from the others and it truly paid off! Not only did they handle everything quickly and efficiently with great communication and support, but they brought in record numbers of applicants, getting me hundreds of dollars p.m. above asking! They handled all the photos, promotion, background checks and paperwork, really paying attention to what mattered to me personally, which was a huge weight off my mind whilst managing an international move. Now I have a great tenant and will definitely be giving J and Wendy my business when I come to sell my apartment in the future!

We bought our first home with Dan as our realtor. I found Dan through my colleagues' referrals…read more What we needed was an agent who can explain things and tell us about potential issues that are not written in the listings, otherwise, we are perfectly capable of browsing the listings and going to open houses ourselves. Dan turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. He was always available to answer our questions on a short notice, and gave us useful feedback that directed and sped up our search. For example, in one case we were considering an apartment in Brooklyn, and he informed us that BQE repair plans might affect this apartment. This turned out to be true and an important factor in the future value of the property. Prior to contacting Dan, we were looking at listings and going to open houses for about 1.5 years. Within 2 months of starting to work with Dan, we already found our home and placed an offer that was accepted. Digs Realty also took us through the purchase process, which, for a first-time home buyer and especially for NY coops, can be a very complicated process. I later heard from a coop board member that they were impressed by how well-prepared and organized our coop application package (put together by Digs Realty) was. On top of all of this, on the closing day, we received a fat commission rebate check from Dan. This was also a significant benefit of working with Digs Realty, especially since the service we received was nothing less than what a full-commission agent provides. I recommend Dan to all my friends with no hesitation.

I've been looking for apartments on my own through Streeteasy, Sotheby's, & Corcoran, but kept getting shown pricey, small units by agents that heavily pressured me into applying to everything I was shown. This varied from Chelsea, Hudson Yards, and UWS. But Arielle took her time showing me the unit I requested in addition to other available units in the area in my price range, just letting me browse without pressure. She helped me find my dream studio apartment in a pre-war building on the UWS for a great price that was within my budget. I was shown the unit on Saturday and leased the apartment on Monday. The application process was competitive, but she assured me that she'd work with the office to keep my application at the front of the line (and she did). She answered all my questions and even helped me take measurements of the unit before I moved in! Dansar group is a great boutique brokerage firm that really cares about their potential future tenants. I cannot recommend them enough.

We had a *great* experience working with Greg Hudson. Highly recommend…read more We met Greg by chance after requesting a tour of an apartment he was showing (found on Streeteasy). I've had plenty of experience with StreetEasy showings in the past - usually you show up, the leasing agent opens a door, tells you the price and how much you'll owe them for their "opened a front door" broker fee, then you leave. Greg was the opposite. He took us through each apartment and pointed out tons of details (both good *and* bad things), talked us through options w/r/t fees, move-in dates, rent negotiation, etc. He had good relationships with the landlords at each building and was able to talk to us about their preferences, the vibe of the building, everything we could've wanted. He also worked hard to: 1) negotiate a great deal 2) give us several options 3) get everything taken care of quickly to secure our spot 4) make sure we knew exactly what we were agreeing to in every part of the lease *Plus* he followed up with us later to see how everything was going and connect us with our new neighbors (who he already knew). My point is: Greg is really an awesome guy and you'd be lucky to have him help find your next place.
