This clinic is incredibly dysfunctional and I feel obligated to write a review. I began by seeing…read moreSarah, who I felt fine with at first. After seeing her quite a few times, her bedside manner was consistently lacking. When I wasn't following her guidelines to a T, she referred me to her husband which seems like quite the norm according to other reviews. Her husband was nice enough, but tried to use scare tactics on me about a health issue that he and I were attempting to work on, but wasn't responding to any sort of medication. And he had the audacity to use those scare tactics on me. Let me just reiterate that. I was already feeling discouraged about my health problem and I was going to this provider for help. I was complying, trying multiple medications that I could not afford, doing the lifestyle changes they recommended, and they felt as though I was not taking it seriously and made me feel awful about myself. Every time I saw Sarah after that, she was extremely hostile with me and would not give me the time of day. As a practice they are completely untrustworthy. I have a friend who have brought in their infant and were given the wrong vaccine. I have friends that have also attempted to seek care from this office and also felt like they were not given the time of day or talked down to. Not only does she talk down to patients, Sarah also talks down to the support staff. And like several other reviews, getting a referral sent was a nightmare. And calling to the office is a nightmare. To get to the point, I don't trust these providers and I will never return to Fairhaven Integrative Health and I strongly do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

She worked on it with a combination of hot stones, her hands and other tools - tuning forks, different bells that are new to me - and for the first time in ages it is pain free and I have full range of motion back. If you're used to "traditional" Swedish or other massages, some of what Roxanne does will be unfamiliar and seem a bit strange. If you can trust that she knows what she's doing (which she does) and experience it, at the very least you will have tried something new but likely, you will feel the benefit. If you don't want those things however - just tell her! She listens well and constantly seeks education on new techniques and healing massage therapy approaches. She also checks in throughput the session to make sure the pressure and other aspects are comfortable and acceptable. Besides that she is kind and generous with her time and knowledge. Her studio is comforting and cozy too. I can't wait to go back.

I'm a big guy and kind of tense, Dr. Olson was a little too gentle the first visit, second and third visit I requested and received a more "enthusiastic" adjustment. Probably wise to error on the side of finesse over muscle, but now we're good. I went in with a badly tweeked lower and middle lumbar area, Dr. Olson got me going in the right direction and gave me some new stretching and strengthening exercises to implement. It took me three sessions (M-W-F) to get straightened out, but considering where I was this was a great outcome for me. I was NOT pressured at all for extra services, i.e. x,rays, cat scans, acupuncture, aroma therapy, or weekly sessions that go on forever (some of you know what I'm talking about). Dr. Olson got me upright and that was it, "come back in if you have any issues". Perfect or close to it.

I hate the sound of cracking backs and fingers and any joint really, and have you ever seen someone get their neck adjusted? NO WAY JOSE. After having intense back pain and talking to several co-workers who all recommended Dr. Olson, I figured he might be my best shot to getting help with my pain. Upon my first appointment I explained to Dr. Olson my pain problems but also shared with him how afraid I was. He is very understanding and kind!! We worked through that together and he never does any work without explaining it first and making sure I am ok with it (NO neck adjustments for example!!). He has a "drop table" which sounds scary but it allows for less invasive adjustments that, for me at least, are not painful and I don't hear any creepy cracking internally (thank goodness!!). The initial visit was about 55 minutes long and now my visits are about 10 minutes long. I can see that Dr. Olson is the type to get you healthy again and he would be happy to never see you again. His goal is to treat and heal, not to maintain a large group of return customers just for the sake of it. I had to go 3 times per week for 2 weeks and now that my pain is less, I am going once a week for a couple more visits and then we will be done! No pressure. Best of all he hasn't suggested any X Rays or anything else that might cost me more than the copay. The lobby, rooms and restroom are well lit and clean. There is plenty of parking. There are also 3 massage therapists that work out of his building so you can get an adjustment and a massage in the same visit if you coordinate just so.
