They made sure to go over my history and asked follow up questions to get a better idea of what was going on. The assistant in the room was efficient and kept things moving. I noticed they were writing things down as we talked which helped me feel they were actually paying attention. The exam was complete and they explained what I should focus on going forward. I appreciate the honest and simple approach.

I eventually made it to Stanford where I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which has been a total shock. In my effort to be healthier and take care of my spine, I have been trying to change some habits and find the correct resources. It's tough to make time for much of anything because I run a thriving business of my own, and have 2 very small children (3 and 5). Yet, Osteostrong is one of two self care things that I will continue to make time for (the other is F45). Natasha, the owner, is a wonderful human being. I can tell that she cares deeply about helping people with their health. I love walking in and seeing her bright, beautiful smile. Travis, Ben, and a slightly older woman whose name I can't remember (I will find out and update this)-- they are all great too! They coach clients through the exercises on 4 machines and the vibrating platform. The other offerings they have are the hydromassage, an energy frequency machine, red light therapy, and compression. Everything is brief enough that you're in and out relatively fast, and in a predictable amount of time. Thank you, Osteostrong, for helping me improve my bone health.

Everything looks so natural, just a better version of myself, exactly what I was hoping for. I had a few consultations with other surgeons before, but after meeting Dr. Maan, I didn't feel the need to keep looking. I just knew he was the right choice for me. The whole experience felt really personal. Dr. Maan and his team made me feel comfortable from the start, and that didn't stop after the surgery. He checked in with me himself and was always available if I had questions, which meant a lot. It never felt like I was just another patient. Thank you Dr. Maan, for giving me a second look, a natural, more confident version of myself. I'm so grateful for the care and attention you gave me throughout this process. I would absolutely recommend him to my friends and family, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I ever needed anything in the future.

I chose this establishment after long-term research and consistently strong reviews, as I was…read moreplanning a major surgery and wanted to feel confident in my decision. My initial consultation went very well, and although I wasn't able to proceed at that time, I returned months later feeling ready. I ultimately chose this practice because of the positive reviews and the comfort I felt with Dr. Mann. He is a kind, knowledgeable, and professional surgeon. Unfortunately, my experience shifted after I submitted my deposit. Most of my concerns stemmed from interactions with his main coordinator, Audrey. I was unable to attend my pre-op appointment in person and was told it could be completed by phone, which it was. During that call, I attempted to express concerns regarding my experience with the coordinator. At that point, I felt Dr. Mann's tone changed, and my concerns may have been taken personally. The coordinator later called to apologize, which I did appreciate. Two days before surgery, I received the list of do's and don'ts, which felt very late in the process. I would have preferred more time and guidance to properly prepare, but I chose to remain positive and not raise the issue. After surgery, I was instructed to wear a compression garment for my legs. I had to locate and purchase one on very short notice, but I was unable to fit into the garment recommended by the doctor and had to return it. This left me without any compression for three days. I reached out to the coordinator to ask whether compression-free garments were acceptable in the meantime and was told this was fine until swelling went down, after which I could wear the recommended garment. However, the professionals (recommended by Dr.mann) overseeing my pre- and post-op massages later informed me that I was experiencing increased lumpiness and some tissue issues forming back due to insufficient compression. Learning this was extremely disheartening. I had hoped the doctor's office would at least offer a universal compression garment, as many practices do, to help avoid this situation. At my follow-up appointment, I felt somewhat rushed. Each question I asked made me feel as though I was overreacting, but after undergoing a major surgery, I believe those concerns were reasonable. Throughout recovery, I felt largely unsupported. Dr. Mann rarely checked in on my progress, which was disappointing given the seriousness and cost of the procedure. I frequently had to reach out to the coordinator with questions and concerns, and responses were often delayed until I expressed frustration. The lack of clear instruction and preparation--particularly regarding compression garments--was especially discouraging. While Dr. Mann himself is professional and personable, the overall coordination and post-operative care ultimately led me to decide not to continue future care here. Toward the end of the process, I felt more like a number than a patient who was genuinely cared for. It's difficult for me to write this review, but my experience was truly negative. For the three weeks following surgery, I experienced significant anxiety and uncertainty due to the lack of proper guidance and follow-up.

At my "'free initial consultation" I was briefly interviewed by a woman who claimed to be a nurse-practitioner & assured me that not only the neuropathy in my feet, but also leg cramps, muscle weakness, & other lower body issues would be ameliorated with "20-30" treatments of electrical stimulation & vitamin injections between my toes. I was not asked to take off my shoes --my feet were never seen or touched. The medical records, x-rays, films, etc. that I'd been told to bring to the initial appt. were never requested, & when I mentioned them I was told they weren't needed just then. Not only did I never meet with the 'doctor' (a D.C. - chiropractor, later online research revealed), he did not even seem to be in the building. In the huge space there were just a few people getting 'treated', hooked up to machines. No one seemed to be monitoring or working with them. I was sent to the receptionist to provide my insurance info, & told that I would get a call when they had confirmed that my insurance would accept their bills & how much would be covered. The ad said the treatment is approved by the FDA & accepted by Medicare -- I am on Medicare, which pays 80% of most expenses. I waited two weeks before calling back, to be told that they still hadn't heard back from my insurance, but would call me when they did. Six weeks later I called again & got an apology for not having been called back. However, I was told only that 'the insurance would probably cover some treatments, but there was no way to know how many'. If this treatment is 'accepted by Medicare', that seems very fishy! I am quite motivated to find an effective treatment for my symptoms, but it did not seem that RegenMed really wanted to enroll me in their program - perhaps I asked too many questions?! They don't seem to be widely accepted by insurance OR Medicare, nor was any effort make to confirm my self-report of symptoms by looking at the medical records I'd brought along or even examining my body. What gives?!!

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone

I am a 78-year-old male, retired, with chronic daily (24/7) headaches (NDPH type)…read more The headache began at 10: 30 AM on Dec 5, 2006, along with a temporary left ear hearing loss and a roaring noise in my head. Left ear hearing returned to about 50% and the roaring sound went away by 5 PM of that day, but the headache has remained. Then, the headache pain levels was about a constant 5-6 (with nausea and dizziness) with night time peaks of 8 or 9. Before that date, I had tight muscles. Muscle tightness is due to 1) long-term statin and niacin use, 2) frozen left shoulder (1977 to present (now gone)), and 3) scar tissue from 3-Way by-pass surgery. But, I believe that the muscle tightness is mostly due to long term statin use (a statin side effect for about 20% of individuals taking statins). It has been determined that the muscle tightness is causing the headache. I've seen ENT MDs, Neurologists, and regular MDs and none of their meds have helped much, except for Epidrin and the muscle relaxant; Zanaflex. Tried marijuana, but it made my headache pain level worse. I've tried physical therapy, Trigger Point Massage, upper cervical Chiropractor, Sport Med. MD, Cranial Facial Pain Dentist, Myofascial release (John Barnes), Bowen Therapy, acupuncture (saw 6 acupuncturists), chiropractors (saw 5 chiropractors), and an Osteopath, who specialized in skeletal-muscular problems. When, the Osteopath left the area, he suggested that I try Cranial Sacral Therapy. Of all the therapies that I tried, Cranial Sacral Therapy treatments have given me the most relief from the chronic daily headache. Jane Colaciccio is able to detect inflammationed muscles, by feeling the heat emanating from the affected area. Something like a thermograph device. I know, its hard to believe, but she does have that ability. Note, prior to seeing Jane, if anybody told me that somebody had that ability, I would not have believed them. My headache levels are now about 1 to 2, and sometimes, the headache is even gone. And I no longer experience the nausea or dizziness. UPDATE: In August 2017, Jane was able to overall loosen the upper body facia, so that she was able to work on the exact shoulder blade muscles that were causing the headache. After a few more sessions, the headache was mostly gone. I do, on occasion, get a headache when I am under stress or I sleep in the wrong position. However, to make sure that the headache does not return, I return to Jane to make sure the muscles do not tighten up again. I have a daily stretching routine, that also helps in keeping the muscles relatively loose. So thanks to Jane, both the headache and dizziness are gone!
