The pharmacist however seems like a complete scatterbrained waste. You can hand her a prescription for 10 tabs of an antibiotic and she will react like you handed her a ransom note! I think there is something wrong with that woman? The good things. They almost always have every drug in stock. They are quick to call your doctor if you don't have a refill. The iphone app to repeat prescriptions works (for the most part). There is free parking. A lot of stock of non prescription things, groceries, nicknacks to help you kill time while you wait for them to prepare your meds.

I told her that her customer service training led much to be desired and that I had every right to be upset when my local pharmacy has staff spreading germs to everyone at checkout and can't be bothered to have sick staff stay home or wear a mask. This 'supervisor' was gaslighting me and talking down to me - escalating the situation rather than helping to solve it. Who knows how many people that cashier sickened today!

She's friendly, knowledgable and will take the time to talk to you about your medication in detail. She fills out orders in a reasonable amount of time and unlike Loblaws Pharmacy, gives accurate estimates on wait times. I couldn't be happier to have to have found her as my pharmacist. The building also contains my neighbourhood Canada Post. It sometimes gets quite busy and wait times can be long, but I haven't been to a Canada Post location that doesn't struggle with this issue. Staff has always been helpful and quick. The store itself is not large, so don't expect the huge variety of products but as a small, local pharmacy, I've always more than satisfied with what they have to offer.

Two Saturdays ago, I was in the area and needed a drugstore. I did a search and found this Shoppers…read moreDrug Mart (SDM). It was a six-minute drive from where I was. This SDM is in a busy plaza anchored by Sobeys across from it. I found a parking spot fairly close to the main doors. I backed into it and headed inside. The layout is similar to most SDMs. It was easy to figure out which aisles I needed. I hit the vitamin aisle first. I was pleased that there was a vitamin sale going on. Two other shoppers, both men, were looking at vitamins, too. I got what I needed and continued exploring. This store had a decent selection of plushies. There were a couple of massive teddy bears. I know that they'd fit in my car, but where would I put them at home? Maybe one could be a guard by the door? I got some pop. I forgot to get a carton of eggs. The best price for a dozen is at SDM and Rexall on the weekend these days. A carton goes for $3.49. I hit the self-checkout area and scanned my items. I then loaded them into my reusable bag. I scanned my PC Optimum card and then paid with a credit card. Easy peasy! I placed my items in my car and started to leave. You do need to drive with caution in this lot. There are some drivers who enjoy driving in the middle of a roadway and aren't considerate. I witnessed it first-hand trying to leave. I couldn't because this person was hogging the road and holding up everyone around him. Other than this jerk, I enjoyed shopping here. Maybe it's more relaxed when it's not a weekend. (26)

This Shoppers pharmacy gets consistently bad ratings, I have found the staff rude, and ignoring customers or simply walking away in mid sentence. And some samples because I was taking a chance on a new product. We then discovered that I have been carrying around someone else's optimum card for months (sorry Chris whoever you are-they just have gotten swapped. You're welcome for the crazy amounts of points), she called head office and got me a new card and fought for me to get the 20x the points offer, when they weren't going to give it to me because it looked on my account like I was a new customer. She was on the phone for about fifteen minutes with them after I told her not to worry about it. "You've given so much of your time, we need to get this for you." She really went to bat for me, and I know that may sound silly, but she literally saved me $50. My bill went from $95 to $45. Kathleen and the other ladies of the cosmetic section were so lovely. I started to leave and they asked if it was urgent. It's antibiotics, but I could have just gone to Walmart or some place open after 6pm, They said they'd see what they could do, booted up the system, processed the order, and finished up in mere minutes. My insurance covered most of it - they waved away the last $1.85 and said they don't bother to charge if it's under $2. And then I was gone and out the door by 6:06. Even in the rush, they were calm, professional, kind, no steps were skipped. The pharmacist made sure to run through the medication instructions and contraindications with me, checked on my allergies and made sure I had the accompanying papers of warnings and side effects. Best. Service. Ever. I am SO transferring all my prescriptions to these guys! They're the nearest pharmacy to my doctor's office so I first encountered them a few years ago when I thought her office had called a prescription in. They hadn't, but the woman who answered the phone said that if it was called in to them, they'd even deliver it to me (I was sick in bed with a 102-degree fever). How many pharmacies nowadays actually deliver?
