In my experience, the service felt more like data entry than professional tax advice. Important deductions and tax treatments were missed even though the supporting documents had been provided. If your tax situation is straightforward, you may be just as well off preparing your own return using software such as Wealthsimple Tax and saving the preparation fees. If your situation is more complex, I would recommend looking for an experienced tax professional elsewhere. The local franchise declined my request for a refund, and I am still awaiting the outcome of my complaint to Head Office.

This year it was to be held at Kay's Place in the Denman Place Mall, the same location as Accountax. Accountax contacted mall management and complained the WESN tax clinic was taking clients away from their business. Mall management told WESN the tax clinic could not be held at Kay's Place. It has been relocated. How low and self-serving of Accountax. Low income seniors are not able to pay the fee Accountax charges for a simple tax return. Allegedly about $160.00. Low income seniors have trouble every month making ends meet. Shame on Accountax.

Even so much as turning around in one of their parking stalls elicits this woman storming up to your vehicle on multiple occasions and knocking on your window to threaten towing your vehicle, lol. I've even attempted explaining to this staff member that I was just turning my vehicle around in tight parking quarters to take a better shot at a different stall and she was extremely rude and threatened to tow my vehicle despite me sitting in it with it running and not even in park. Their stalls are frequently empty yet they will tow any vehicle the second they park - typical Vancouver. This building is resident and community friendly, or at least it was until this woman came along - H&R block is apparently now enforcing 24hr-no-parking unless you are a patron of their business, despite the business being closed from 6pm to 9 am. Certainly won't be recommending this business or their prickly rudeness to anyone I know, and they're not welcome in this area!

On May first she changed her mind and told me that I owe $11,969.09. I had no chance but to pay this huge amount and I received a penalty from CRA of $254.77 for paying the debt after April 30th. Then I went to profesional CPA that found that Fatima made a big mistake and I had to pay CRA only $5,350.01. Fatime was very rude and refused to pay me back her fee after she promised to do so.
