It is with deep disappointment that I recount our troubling experience with Jamso Trainee, facilitated through Volunteer World. Our interaction with Jamso Trainee was marred by deception, lack of professionalism, and poor organization, resulting in an incomplete volunteer opportunity and a lack of accountability from the agency.
The issues began with the inadequate organization of the project, which led us to only participate in half of the intended volunteer work. Despite our attempts to address these shortcomings with Jamso Trainee, they not only refused any resolution or refund but also inexplicably ceased all communications with us, leaving us stranded with no recourse.
Furthermore, we discovered that our payments to Jamso Trainee were inaccurately portrayed as solely covering accommodation costs when, in reality, a significant portion was allocated elsewhere. Their coercive demands for additional payments and veiled threats of project cancellation reveal a distressing lack of integrity and transparency.
Volunteer World's lack of support and oversight of the organizations they collaborate with is disappointing. Upon reaching out to the school we were volunteering with, we learned that they had severed ties with Jamso Trainee due to their lack of professionalism, highlighting the pervasive impact of Jamso Trainee's negligent practices.
The absence of responsiveness, accountability, and support from both Jamso Trainee and Volunteer World raises serious concerns about the integrity and reliability of their volunteer programs. As volunteers seeking to make a positive impact, our trust was shattered, and we urge others to exercise caution and thorough research before engaging with such organizations.
I would AVOID any project associated with JAMSO TRAINEE, Angela Scheider &/or Lisa Kolbinger. read more
