Visited during a girls' trip after spotting it on the Time Out website. We grabbed our tickets on Groupon and had such a cute, fun experience. It's a great way to spend an hour or two...learning a bit of New Orleans history while taking advantage of their adorable photo opportunities. It's also located directly across the street from the legendary Loretta's Authentic Pralines...home of (in my opinion) the best beignets in New Orleans...so you can easily treat yourself afterward. Definitely worth a visit!

JamNOLA felt very Meow Wolf-esque, in a good way. It's an interactive art and music experience that brings New Orleans history to life in a creative, visually engaging way. Though smaller than Meow Wolf, there's still plenty to explore and interact with. The space is bright, lively, and full of great photo ops, plus one cool video experience. The staff was friendly, approachable, and eager to help, which made the experience even better.

This is a fun interactive museum celebrating New Orleans history and music. Each instillation is colorful with history. You can download music from some of then exhibits. The 3 d glasses enhance the experience. The pictures posted here speak better then I can. My toddler grandson even enjoyed it.

Excellent immersion experience to learn about the history, art, music and culture of NoLa. There are exhibits, music, videos and numerous displays filled with light and color. The staff is amazing and friendly and very knowledgeable. They are available throughout the exhibits to answer questions and have a a very warm demeanor. You are able to make different music selections. Engage and touch the exhibits as well as scan QR codes to get more detailed info. This is a great way to learn about NOLA history and support the artists who have contributed to the project as well.

Everything was a good learning experience 1)It's amazing how raw talent is expressed through the desire and need to make something out of nothing and be appreciated for your ingenuity . 2).This a Must See..and hear....Needle and Thread (song)...was about making the traditional regalia...and how each suit expressed family lineage, tribal lineage and how the merge between Indians and Africans came about in that area... Very good place to visit

I came here off of a recommendation from my boyfriend's mom. He and I booked an earlier time at 11 AM. This turned out to be a great decision because as the day wore on, the museum got much busier. Staff were so incredibly friendly and very engaging with the guests! All of the art was interactive, bright, and so colorful. This is a true gem for New Orleans and I hope to see it expand and thrive! This is a huge recommendation if you're visiting the area.

This was our 2nd time visiting JamNola but the first time on Frenchmen Street. Easy online Booking! Check out Groupon as they usually have deals. A great place for selfies and interactive rooms all revolving around New Orleans culture and history. Would not be ideal for anyone with sensory issues. Staff were all friendly. They guide you on part of the tour and then you check out everything at your speed. Definitely a fun family outing. I did enjoy the displays the previous time better but this was still a fun time.

I absolutely loved my experience at JAMNOLA! The staff was very kind and informative to me even when I was there as a solo visitor. They didn't rush my exploration which I really appreciated. From looking at the outside, you'd think that the museum would be small... boy is that assumption totally wrong! When I went inside, everything was so spacey and detailed. From facts to medium designs, I can tell the creators of this place put a lot of work and effort into it. It was a fun and creative way of learning about the history and impact of jazz music in New Orleans. As for parking, it's only street parking but there are a lot of spaces available around the area. Overall, I really loved my experience here at JAMNOLA and would recommend people visiting at least once in their lives if they're visiting the area.

This is place is so much fun! An interactive and creative way to learn about NOLA's history was a great way to start my trip! There's so much to see and the guides do a great job explaining how everything came together. There's gift shop at the end had a lot of amazing gifts to purchase. A+ visit!!!

This place was really fun! It's a bit far away from the main area if you don't have a car. But if it's nice weather, it's a nice walk from the French market. They just changed locations and at the new location they have all new art set up. All the art is recycled so it's super creative and unique. The workers here are super nice and knowledgeable. They to you around individually and small groups. Definitely a great spot to go if you're looking to have a lot of photo opportunities! We took my mother here for Mother's Day weekend, she had a blast! Definitely a great way to connect and bond with your family of all ages! The only reason why I took off one star is because I believe it is a very small museum for a high ticket price. We paid just over $100 for three people.

We were excited about the new location we did like thlocation, but this one has so many improvements. It's bigger it's better. It's a lot of fun. We probably spent a good hour and a half their. You go through an adventure around every corner something new a lot of small details to look for is little QR codes throughout to explain each exhibit it's a good time. Don't forget to stop at the gift store. They got all types of stuff for gifts and little knickknacks Overall a great time, thanks for he free ELITE yelp ticket.

I truly enjoyed the new JAM Nola experience. I have been to the other location before and was interested to see the new changes and it did not disappoint. I saw that they now offer a 3D experience which was really cool. Some of my favorite parts of the tour were the music rooms where you can play tracks from local artists based on genres and different music halls in the city. The 3D art along the walls were also so creative and a special dedication to the culture of New Orleans. The food room was also very cute as I am a local foodie. But my favorite part was the quilted blanket piece that had a centerpiece that spun around and recorded you on your phone as you danced with props. Such a creative idea. This is an experience I would recommend to anyone whether you are a local or visiting New Orleans.

Jam Nola is an interactive museum full of local history and so much culture. I got a free ticket thanks to Yelp Elite so I brought my parents. We had a great time and took so many fun photos! Let's keep supporting local businesses!

We meet up at the Voodoo Lounge, where there is a ticket office in the back room. We didn't live the bar--smelled a little bit like a sewer and the hurricanes were super sweet and kind of weak. But we did have but one get one, so wasn't that upset. The tour was great. We saw some interesting, haunted places and heard the history behind them. We didn't linger too long at any one place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, although he may have been a tad bit too heavy on the Catholic Church jokes. The tour ended at the LaLaurie house, and our guide shared a story about a little girl on who was recently on his tour who started crying and asked why there were dead people on the balcony. Spooky! I was so intrigued by what he said that I started looking up stories about Delphine LaLaurie and the haunting of the house. When I got home, I even started watching season 3 of American Horror Story, which has the character Delphine LaLaurie (accurate? No. Fun? Yes!). This was a fun way to spend the evening. There was an obnoxiously drunk guy on our tour, and our guide handled him well.

Date of tour: December 21, 2024…read more After a wonderful food tour in Prague last year, we wanted to replicate the magic stateside while visiting New Orleans, a city with a rich food history and scene. As requested, I will keep the individual location names secret as to not spoil your potential food tour but also because the stops can change and I don't want to have you disappointed if you don't get the same places on your tour. Ty was a great guide, providing us with local history and culture as we ate our way down Magazine Street. The only complaint I have is that they didn't really interact with us during the food portions, standing or sitting off to the side, or running to the next location to make sure we were all set. To me, the guide should be not only the bridge between the locations and food with us, but also a bridge between the different groups on the tour. Ty told us before the tour started that the other folks joining us were from Michigan, but we found out from them later that they were actually from New York. Had these connections been made earlier, it would have enhanced the tour. On to the food, wonderful that it all was! Please note that I may make some errors in the actual names of the food, while I took pictures, I did not write down the names and there wasn't a post-tour recap to assist me! Stop #1: A local sandwich and a seafood side. Both quite good, especially since I don't like olives! Stop #2: An unusual meat that was shockingly good! Stop #3: Seafood options. I've had a different version of one of these items in Asheville, NC. This wasn't quite as good but still tasty. Stop #4: Southern favorites that were so good! I didn't think I would like these but I did. Stop #5: A peppermint fudge cupcake. Sadly, the weakest stop on the tour. Other that tried the gelato came away disappointed and my cupcake was neither overly fudgey or pepperminty. It looked pretty, though!

It included some contemporary art including a full size gold log cabin that you can walk into. There were modern pictures of water and wetlands and then some traditional oil on canvas old European paintings. Floor 1 had traveling exhibits along with more Old World European paintings including some Italian paintings from the 13th century.. I enjoyed my visit to NOMA. It is a quality art museum that is worth your time to visit. Budget 90-120 minutes. It has a gift shop and small cafe. Also, visit the free Besthoff Sculpture Garden outside next to the museum. It is excellent and quite large in size. You walk on a path past many unique outdoor art statues and displays.
