All I did know, is that I wanted him to come with us! I saw his books, studied his website, and heard raving reviews from friends that used his services and knew that no matter what over-priced, world-renown photographer I found in New York, their work would not compare. He is a true artist. He tells your story through his photographs. Did I mention he is super sweet, personable, and funny? Yep, He made everyone loosen up and laugh. He has a great personality, which helps him capture true emotion and genuine smiles. He went above and beyond. He actually brought another photographer with him to NYC (free of charge) just to be sure he was prepared to do the job right. And man, did he nail it. I have gotten a ridiculous amount of compliments on my pictures!! Why am I even rambling?? See for yourself...This is a sneak preview he sent to me a couple days after the wedding: http://www.jamiejansenphoto.com/slideshows/2009/bivins/index.html So boys and girls...what have we learned? Jamie is better than whoever else your considering, I promise you. Even if your not from Ohio (attention my NYC yelpers!) he is worth the travel fees. If he lived in the city he could charge 3 times as much so your actually getting a pretty damn good deal:)

This is someone who is schooled in photography and really understands what he's doing, not just snapping away hoping for a good shot. He stacks the deck in his favor because he's schooled in film and photography. Jamie did our engagement shoot as well as our wedding, and it was FANTASTIC!!! Our engagement photos were the best photos of our lives until our wedding photos! He takes his time to make you comfortable, puts you in settings that will look great, and then has you be yourself. He is not a traditional "SMILE! NOW MOVE OVER HERE! NOW HERE!" He's looking to capture the real moments, not posed, forced, awkward incidents. He'll get as artsy as you want, and will incorporate any and all ideas into the shoot. We could not be happier with our photos, and recommend Jamie wherever you are!

She kindly sent us some drafts of previous ceremonies she had done, so we were able to choose a format that worked best for us. We are from Ohio but currently live in Texas, so we thought that planning a wedding back in Ohio could potentially get complicated. However, after we chose Rev. Catherine Daniels as our officiant, we knew that our wedding ceremony would be wonderful. She was so sweet to meet with us the week of the wedding to calm our nerves and review the ceremony with us. We walked away from that meeting very thankful and looking forward to the big day. Another great service she provides is sending in the official signed wedding certificate for you, which was one less thing we had to worry about leaving on our honeymoon the day after. Our ceremony went perfectly and she was a great addition to our day! We would highly recommend Rev. Catherine Daniels!

My first thought was - why pay for something like that? After discussing it thoroughly she was offered an opportunity to have the session done during a promotional offer, and we would only pay for what we decided to purchase. Again, I was skeptical. Upon arrival to the studio for the "reveal" session I wasn't sure what to expect. Immediately, upon seeing the photos, I realized two things: 1) My fiancées desire to have them done was to feel empowered and sexy. 2) The photos and editing were tasteful, artistic, and the kind of quality I could expect to see in a gallery. After going through the photo set with Brittnie and my fiancée there was no doubt in my mind the photos were 100% worth purchasing. My fiancée did feel empowered; she felt sexy; she was truly happy from the process and of the results. Brittnie is respectful, professional, and an outstanding photographer. I love the photos and everything about the experience.

We tried to rush to the venue last minute because they showed up a day early. After that, the head caterer was extremely rude. The day of the wedding, the same male caterer also made several rude comments to our family members who were inquiring about when the appetizers would be served. He said to my grandmother (who paid for the caterer) "they'll be ready when you see me set them on the table." He made this comment to various other guests as well. Besides this man, the rest of the staff were friendly and a pleasure to work with. The food was amazing and we got a lot of compliments on how great it was. They are also very fairly priced!
