While the end result was great, we had a less than positive experience with Jamie. He was a consummate professional before and during our wedding (when payments were being sent/deposited), but that changed in the weeks and months following.
I asked for status updates after I had been to three weddings since my own, all of whom received their photos before my wife and I. His response was based around the time/effort it takes to edit & compile the pictures he takes, which I can appreciate.
As months went by, I became less patient. When I asked for status updates again, his responses became very unprofessional. I won't share the details of our correspondence, but I was surprised at the tone of his emails sent to a paying customer. It was excuses mixed with arrogance.
This was a learning experience however, to carefully review contracts prior to signing with a vendor. Since my wife & I are "young and immature" (as Jamie pointed out in his emails), we failed to realize there was no mention of timeline associated with the delivery of his products. The bottom line is we got married 11/8/2008, and not until 1/30/2010 did we receive the last product from the package we purchased.
To reiterate; End result was good, efficiency and professionalism was very disappointing.
If anyone has had a different, more positive experience with the timeliness and professionalism of Jamie, please post. The only way to build a consensus is with a wide sampling. read more
