Good beer selection and the place is much bigger than it looks inside. I didn't have anything to eat and only came to have a couple of pints and watch a match. The only negative comment I have is while the other customers were extremely friendly the staff were very cold, even dour. This is one of my favorite Bars in here. The staff is really amazing. Everyone is really cool, nice and friendly. The ambiance is really good, Whisky selection is also pretty good. There are Karaoke nights Fridays and Saturdays. So you get to see a lot of funny drunk people embarrass themselves. Service is simply GREAT! read more

This is a classic English pub but with a very international feel. The age range is 21 to 61. The bar staff speak English, German and Spanish with a varied number of languages spoken by the guests. The pub is split into three areas. There is the front open area which, in the summer, is very comfortable and is protected from rain with large permanent umbrellas. The front bar is inviting and is itself split into two parts these being the front main area and a side area which is excellent for groups to eat and chat. The rear bar is where the evening entertainment goes on. Almost every evening there is some sort of activity, pub quizzes, live music and karaoke even poker. There is also a small separate area here which is ideal for groups to have their own semi private meetings. A personal tip is that since all three areas are open all the time, if you want a meeting during the day, the rear bar is not frequented much until the evening so one can meet and discuss nicely there. One thing to take into consideration is that because of an abundance of television monitors and system which allows various stations to be shown on differing screens, this is a favourite place to watch sports fixtures. Thus if there is anything important in the sports world occurring, in particular in the football and rugby worlds, then you will not avoid it here. In fact you should try to getthere early to get a good seat. Weekends it is the home of Karaoke, hosting the most successful karaoke events on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. These nights are bursting with good humored terrible, bad and even great singers. It is also a favourite pub crawl, stag and hen night destination making it a very active place particularly in the evenings. The food is classic British pub food but of a very high standard. Burgers and nachos and other pub food classics. All in all, if you want a friendly but cosy atmosphere with friendly guest and staff., perhaps you are a visitor to Cologne and want to be sure not to feel left out, then this is a destination not to miss. read more

I'm not a fan of Irish theme bars in general and this one was no different to be honest. It was pretty big inside and almost had a sprawling cave like feel to it. (If your a Glaswegian think waxys style) The beer was ok but nothing special, the atmosphere and service from most of the staff was just about about average. The place got pretty rammed on the Saturday night, there seemed to be loads of people eating and also there was an area with some crazy karaoke shit going down. All in this was heading to an average three stars, but then I met the rudest most arrogant, aggressive barman I have ever come across. So another one star off. Not my type of place, but if you like Irish theme bars or want somewhere to watch sport (it had loads of screens) you will probably be quite happy. read more

Great pub. I think the amount of reviews and fours stars sum it up pretty well. If you're early enough, you'll find a good spot to be seated and enjoy watching the greatest sport on earth; football! The place gets crowded during match days, which makes it in my opinion a nice experience with like-minded peeps. In short: Amazing atmosphere when the place is packed! The burger is solid, the snack boats are great for sharing and the nachos are tasty. Prices are typical for an Irish pub. Around 5 Euro for a pint. read more

Only came here because it was right by our hotel and was open later than everywhere else. We ordered some drinks and then our waitress and her friend seemed to vanish for quite some time before eventually her friend bought us our drinks. At least in a city full of tiny drinks they serve proper measures here! I appreciated the sliding glass door innovation that meant that the karaoke at the back was rarely inflicted on those at the front. Anything that gets me further away from karaoke is a good thing! I only realised how vast the place was until i wandered off to spend a pfennig! read more

Very good pub. They always seem to have something going on. I came here three nights in a row. One night they had a poker tournament. Another night karaoke but it was only in the back room so you can avoid if you wanted to. Then another night they had quiz night. The bartenders are cool and drink prices aren't bad for the neighborhood. read more

Decent place, a little bit more on the expensive side I would say. The lighting in the restaurant was a little to dark for my liking as well. I ordered the vegetarian stir fry and asked for them to make it spicy, as it was. The stir fry included mixed vegetables and rice and was spiced to perfection. (I recommend asking for it to be spicy.). The staff was great and spoke english, although I did have to wave them down for when I needed a new drink. All in all, I would still consider coming back next time i'm in Cologne. read more

Cute Irish pub that televised the Super Bowl. We ordered wings, they weren't exactly buffalo style as advertised but they were tasty. They were so tender, they were falling off the bone. We also ordered nachos they were good too. They also do trivia on Monday nights in German and English. read more

This is actually a pretty pub but I had the worst customer service experience there ever!! I mean I used to work in a Scottish pub and the way they treat customers at Jameson is a freaking joke. I don't know how people get jobs there. I went there with a group of friends just enjoying the the night. I ordered some chips, which came quickly. The waitress didn't bring any salt or sauce with it so I asked for some Mayo. And then she just rolled her eyes. My friends where like Huh??? And I couldn't believe it so I said: Excuse me, did you just roll your eyes at me? She replied: "Um...no. But they changed where the sauces are so I need to walk all the way around the bar and I'm stressed!" Okay I mean it can be quite stressfull to be a waitress cause I've been there. But it wasn't that busy and it's her damn job. I was really shocked by her behaviour so I decided to say something to the manager. I told him what happened. So this girl rushes up to me and starts yelling that it was a misunderstanding and she didn't roll her eyes at me and why I complain when she apologised (which she didn't do btw). So the only thing I would have expected from the manager was an apology something like: I'm really sorry this happened. I hope we don't lose you as a customer and I'll deal with it. Wether he does or doesn't I don't care. But no, his response was: "Well, what do you want me to do???" Um... Seriously? I guess they're all friends and probabaly didn't need any experience to get a job there but it did actually ruin my night and I won't ever go there again. The manager just doesn't give a shit about customer service and the one waitress is just better off with an office job where she doesn't need to move or talk. read more
