I broke a tooth so I had to see the dentist. I dreaded the appt, but it was necessary. The staff is very friendly and understood my fear. The broken tooth had to be removed and we went through the steps for an implant. Dr Stuckey was very gentle and he checked how I was feeling during each step of the process. Because of the great care I received I now get my regular check ups (teeth cleaning). My fear of going to the dentist are gone and I'm happy to take care of my teeth!

The staff were rude and demeaning and it started from the moment I entered until I left. I actually departed without completing my treatments because of the way they treated me. Not only will I will never go back, I promised them that I would write this review because no one should go here. You would think that they would treat a patient with kindness especially when you come in and spend $3000 on a couple of new teeth, but I left before the treatments were completed and decided I'd finish my dental work elsewhere. This was abominable. If they respond to this review as I expect them to do, don't believe their response. I've never walked out of an office from such poor treatment and don't let them rebut that I had a bad attitude. I know the difference as a former, medical professional, myself.

Two kids ...waiting more than six months. we got there and they said you are 21 minutes late. I said you should be able to see them me of my kids since there is just one hygienist. my kids would have waited longer for them. they said they could t even see one of my kids. I've had it with this town! Everyone of these dentists have backed up cleanings because of a lack of hygienist! I am very seldom affected by stuff but the long wait to see the dentist is horrid and to get a cleaning is even worse!!! our kids deserve better. I loved the dentist here too. he was great. if they had two of my kids scheduled with only one hygienist, they should have had room and time for one of them as they would have been back to back! Frustrated that no one around here takes Medicaid for kids root canal. Had to save up more than my…read morerent to get her the root canal. Doc Beus was super! He reviewed my kids future needs and shared the X-rays. We discussed a plan and what our local clinic could do to help. He went above and beyond to carr for my kid and she didn't have the pain she had with other places. The office is clean, staff is nice and receptionist is the perfect person to great clients. Her voice and interactions were polite, nice and warm. Way better than most places. Dental care costs! But walking into a place where reception is cold and rude... I never provide services to. My only critic, I wish they took IHS. But it is difficult to get reimbursed on. Thanks for helping us!!

I went to my dentist for a tooth ache this morning and was referred to CO West Endodontics for a…read moreroot canal. They happened to have an appointment available at 2:15, so I went. Dr. Barnhurst was thorough in his explanation of the need for my root canal, and he happily answered my many questions about the procedure. I have had 5 gum surgeries in the past, so I was shocked to discover that a root canal could be so pain-free. Dr. Barnhurst and his assistant are to thank for that. He is very gentle and provides enough anesthesia ensuring that it's a comfortable procedure, which is was. Finally, what a novel idea to provide noise-cancelling earphones and an ipod with classical music. Brilliant! It did make the time go by faster, for sure, and I didn't have to listen to them talk about drilling into my teeth. : ) I have been pain-free for nine-hours now with the help of ibuprofin. GREAT JOB!!!

However, my last visit, the front desk made a mistake, and charged me for my routine cleanings, that were covered by my insurance. I paid it, but didn't think about it right away. After discussion with my wife, I went back for a filling, and requested my monies to be put back onto my CC. I was told they didn't have the ability to do that, and would write me a check. That was over six weeks ago. Every time I have asked, I am told the office manager was not in. I would think that after six weeks, I should have been re-imbursed. I really like the staff, but regretfully, We will be taking our dental needs elsewhere in town. I will be stopping by tomorrow to see if they have my check ready. This is not the way to conduct a reputable business.

I don't know when Andre Cardoso took over…read morethe practice but this review is directed at him and a woman named Ave who made numerous absolute promises and then reneged on them all - a staggering, indescribable betrayal. It was the absolute WORST EXPERIENCE EVER: I am 66 and this dentist - Andre Cardoso and his office person named Ave could not have done more damage yesterday at his new (February) office in Grand Junction where he practices one day a week. Without meeting me or speaking to me (which was promised), he canceled a long overdue and anxiously awaited appointment (my initial Medicare got messed up around the pandemic) that was made to simply have an exam, xrays and a pano 3D and a cleaning. I based my entire decision on an Aetna Medicare Advantage plan policy on the fact that the appointment was made, paperwork sent, appointment confirmed by virtue that he is (maybe soon to be was?) an Aetna affiliated dentist. They canceled the appointment and gave it to someone else a week later (yesterday) and a week out (in summer when offices are booked way out) with no explanation and turned completely deaf ears and cold, dead hearts to the catastrophic result. I am now forced to scramble and get the urgent dental exam (serious pain, possible infection) through a non-Aetna dental office which would have been 100% covered if I kept the original choice in plans that I changed the same day with a new application on the final day of the quarter (May 31.) based upon this appointment June 14. I will be charged 50% of all fees for an 'out of network' dentist now (which is ludicrous considering I was thinking they were lovely and a miracle office.) I will be following through with a Small Claims Court filing if he refuses to pay the charges that his office will have me incur - and I wonder why he would jeopardize a new practice (and give a black eye to the retired dental practice he bought to build up a GJ clientele) as the two of them are 100% responsible for me having any charges. Aetna would have paid all his office charges - and I would finally have understood by the pano exactly what the diagnosis and prognosis was and begin to find a resolution. They claimed they don't have the expertise to solve the problem (which, remember, he hadn't seen me or a current picture of my jaw bone, etc) and therefore, he wouldn't do a simple, basic exam to shed light on the pain that prevents me from chewing on that side. I wasn't looking for a specialist: I was looking to siply finad out what was going wrong. A terrible experience and a very vocal enemy to make: I was prepared to sing his praises, his receptionist Ave and I knowing how serendipitous the appointment was and instead, I find myself wanting to tell the entire Grand Junction, Montrose, Delta, Olathe, Cedarege and beyond communities to avoid this practice like the plague. I implored them to honour their word and simply see me and take the 100% paid by insurance fees and counsel me what to do/where to go for relief/assistance. Nada. Very poor customer service/business practice. I don't see this business making it in a community where word of mouth and reviews make a difference. Shame on a 'doctor' for ignoring whatever 'Hippocratic-type Oath' the dental providers sign. I have been mercilessly and nausea and insomnia inducing yesterday harmed by such cruel indifference. If I could give them both negative 5 stars I would.
