I have known her since 1994 and we have worked separately and in tandem with patients in which I was treating the individual and she saw the couple. In addition, Dr. Greenberg is very talented in helping people navigate any parenting difficulties. I know her work intimately since we have participated in professional consultation groups together over the years. She is one of my main referral resources when any of my clients need couple's therapy. I know when I send clients to her that they will receive the best care, and I highly recommend her for those with any relationship issues. Judy H.Smith, Ph.D.

It was a huge decision for me to enter therapy. I'd had several (brief) prior experiences with…read moreother therapists and was openly jaded and hesitant to give it another try. I was at the end of my emotional rope though -- dealing with major depression, loss, anxiety, burnout, and an array of issues from childhood that were apparently still waiting for me. In short order, I found Dr. Greenberg to be noticeably different from the other therapists I'd dealt with. She is engaged, tuned in, and an extremely astute listener who seems to truly care that she is helping. She is not at all shy about providing open, honest feedback that addresses directly the issue(s) at hand, and she is clearly both intelligent and well trained. I've seen her now for well over a year, in both individual and group formats, and have always found her to be incredibly objective, supportive, sensitive, kind, compassionate and very easy to open up to -- which is an invaluable credential for some of us. I genuinely believe she takes great pride in her work and seeing her patients progress. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Greenberg.

This man quite literally saved my life!…read more Not the first psychologist I have seen, but the first one that made a difference. He helped me sort through a bunch of stressors, both present and past, and gave me a whole new outlook on life. I am much more relaxed and more comfortable around people now - and also more comfortable with myself. I appreciated his non-clinical attitude and informality. I could joke with him when I wanted to laugh, fiddle with a toy when I didn't want to talk for a moment, cry when I needed to... I was sharing the room with a real person, not some two-dimensional character. (I'm not a big fan of by-the-book CBT practitioners, nor of "and how did that make you feel" automatons.) With…read moreDavid I have learnt that I am absolutely fine the way I am, and that more than anything, it often only takes the affirmation of a professional to tell you that your thoughts and emotions are valid, and that once you start to slow down and listen to your own inner voice, everything will fall into place. In short, he was able to teach me that I am fine just the way I am. All answers are already there. Other professionals suggested medication and a myriad of formal scary things, but I am so very glad I went for a second opinion and found David's services. Beyond the help this has provided to me as a person, I believe David's qualities of being very calm and patient but also funny and not rigid likely make the experience a good one for most clients. He just makes you feel good, and I believe that is what many of us need - along with simply believing in ourselves. Thank you David for the great professionalism and service!

Dr. Dufford returned my call promptly and he was very kind and understanding to my situation as usual. Sadly, Dr. Dufford was not able to fit me in as a returning patient at the time that I called, Dr. Dufford instead gave me a referral to two other Psychologists that specialize in treating the Complex PTSD that I suffer from and was recently diagnosed with. Dr. Michelle Chabbot was the Psychologist that I first reached out to following the multiple traumatic events that led to my Complex PTSD diagnoses and that caused my PTSD Panic Attack. I study Psychology myself, and I was very shaken when I contacted Dr. Chabbot, as I'd never experienced at PTSD Panic Attack before, and I never even knew that someone could suffer from something as terrible as a PTSD Panic Attack. Dr. Chabbot answered the phone immediately, and she was kind and caring enough to take the time to help me immediately. She even answered some emergency questions that I had regarding my recent Complex PTSD diagnoses and the PTSD Panic Attack that I suffered. Dr. Chabbot did all of this for me during her time off on the weekend, when she was out of town on vacation. Talking with Dr. Chabbot, meant so very much to me. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Chabbot and I immediately knew that I was in good hands with regards to finding help to treat my Complex PTSD Disability. I'll be continuing my treatment with Dr. Chabbot moving forward, and I'll be sure to update my review along the way as well. I can tell Dr. Chabbot is an extremely gifted and knowledgeable Psychologist, and she is exceptionally knowledgeable and gifted in the area of PTSD especially. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Chabbot/Dr. Dufford, if you are ever in need. I also urge anyone reading this to reach out to Dr. Dufford/Dr. Chabbot if you are in any need of mental healthcare. It's vital to seek the aid of a Psychologist if you've ever experienced going through a traumatic life event (such as a car accident, workplace discrimination, domestic violence, Ableist bullying, really anything that happens that is traumatic in life, can potentially lead to PTSD I'm told. On top of this, in my own personal experience, PTSD appears to me to be a self fueling condition/ mental illness/disability, meaning that PTSD can worsen over time, if left untreated. What this means is that, it's vital to seek the help of a qualified mental healthcare professional immediately following a traumatic life event. If one doesn't immediately get the treatment that one needs, ones PTSD could quickly worsen, that and one could easily develop "layers" of PTSD, from multiple traumatic events as well. In addition to this, PTSD can also VERY QUICKLY develop into a life threatening condition/mental illness/disability, so please don't ever hesitate to get seek immediate help. Even if you just suspect you might need help, then immediately seek out that help as your mental health can quickly worsen, leaving you in a life threatening situation.

He's so intuitive and a great listen and he always provides advice and help and tools to help you, he doesn't just listen and say oh I'm sorry ok where's my money. He's not covered by insurance but he is worth every single penny!!!! One appointment will change your life. I know a lot of friends and family tell me they have A therapist and that they don't feel connected to them or that they have tried multiple therapists and just can't find somebody who's a right fit for them and it's honestly something I can't understand because Jason was my first therapist and since my first meeting with him it's like he knew me my whole life. It's like talking to a friend who has known you forever who has incredible insight and advice. I never feel judged I never feel that I can't be myself, I never feel that I can't say exactly how, I'm feeling in a matter how bad it is. He really is cut from a different cloth he was born to do this. I really cannot say enough great things about him I have had friends that were near a breakdown due to something tragic happening in their life and I have called Jason and said I have a friend here and I am concerned about them can you help and he would always make time to see them. And all of them loved him and we're like a different person when they came out. It's not about just feeling heard and validated he also dives into the underlying issue that he can see so clearly and is able to ground you and offer tools to help you. And it's not just take a deep breath's or come back and see me it's things that you can do every day or anytime you're feeling what you're feeling, it's life tools. I have seen him for my own issues related to childhood abuse and I have also seen him for relationship issues and every single time was like 1000 pounds was being lifted off my shoulders and I was able to put things into perspective as well as learn how to help myself. I am truly a better person, a better mom and a better wife because of him. Having him as my therapist is the greatest gift. I adore him and am so grateful to him for everything he's done for me as a young adult to help me be a better person, to recover, be less angry and resentful and to have self value and better self-esteem. Later he helped me be a better Mother and wife when I settled down. Thanks Jason....you're an amazing man and I'm so so grateful to have you in my life.

He does not do the " one size fits all" kind of therapy. Or the " go for a nice swim or take a walk for your anxiety " kind of crap. Talking to him feels like talking to a friend, who doesn't judge you. His voice is very calming and he doesn't speak doctor to you. He offers a free half hour initial consultation to see if it clicks, so you don't have to pay a mountain of money just to get to look someone in the eye and see if you can work together or if you would be comfortable spilling your thoughts to this person. He doesn't just sit and listen to you. He offers feedback and suggestions that feel genuine and I feel understood for the first time in what seems like forever. He also works with people who are highly sensitive . He can help you to feel more grounded and connect with the world around you in a way that works for you. I've only seen him a couple of times now, but I'm looking forward to each session. If you are honest in what you tell him and willing to go " there" , it is so worth it. He is out of network, so you don't have files of your mental health stacked up on the insurance companies desks. I highly recommend this super nice and knowledgable therapist. He doesn't sign his emails with Dr. Such and so. Instead, they say " warmly, Jason". I loved that.
