I would not recommend Sonia Ponce based on my experience with her communication and follow-through…read more After my property purchase, Sonia was assisting with finding tenants. She told me a prospective tenant would come that week to pay a deposit. When the expected day came, I received no update. I never received an explanation of whether the tenant came, whether a deposit was paid, or why the rental did not move forward. From that point, my calls, voicemails, texts and emails went unanswered. I called her office several times, including from different numbers because I was concerned something might have happened to her. Staff told me she was around, but I still could not get connected with her or get answers. The person who recommended her to me also called her, and she answered their call while mine remained unanswered. For close to months, I continued carrying mortgage expenses while believing she was still helping find tenants. If she could no longer assist, she should have communicated that clearly so I could make other arrangements. Eventually, I texted her that if she was no longer representing me, she should remove the listing. Weeks passed no response. I later called the office seriously concerned something had happened to her asking to speak with her, the receptionist relayed that Sonia said she had unlisted it. Very cold. I still received no direct conversation or explanation about the prospective tenant and deposit. There had also been periods of unresponsiveness during the purchase process. For me, this became a pattern of poor communication at important moments. A rental is never guaranteed, but clear communication and an explanation when a prospective tenancy falls through are reasonable expectations. I would not work with her again. I also felt poorly guided during the purchase. Although the inspection report identified problems, I relied on Sonia to help me understand their seriousness and assess whether to proceed. Her messages compared some of the issues with another property and discussed them as "cosmetic issues or more." The repair needs and financial strain that followed were far greater than I understood at the time. In hindsight, I do not feel I received the clear guidance I needed for such a significant purchase. So no, she has left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth and I have to give my experience.

As first time home buyers, I was nervous about the entire purchasing process. I relayed this to…read moreJessica in the beginning and I can say with certainty that she was the best Realtor we could have hoped for. She was patient in listening to our wants/needs in a home and dedicated in finding options for us that would suit our family for years to come. She took the time to explain every step we were taking along the way because she wanted us to feel comfortable as first time home buyers. She was completely relatable and that alone was reassuring when you sometimes just need someone to vent to about feeling confused. She was clearly well educated in all of her housing market knowledge but was able to explain that information to me in a way that I could process and think through. When we finally found our perfect home, she handled our offer/contract with the sellers' Realtor very professionally, and knew when to give/take to ensure the deal would happen in our best interest. During the waiting period (which is agony for an impatient buyer) she provided consistent status updates, even when I didn't bother her for them. She just got the job done for us and she did it so well! Our Realtor had integrity, commitment to our home search, and a genuine personality that made it comfortable to work with her. Since our closing, Jessica has even reached out afterwards to ensure that everything was in line and checking that we were content. We were really impressed with the follow up from her; it reassured my husband and I that we had used the right Realtor for our first home purchase. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the market for real estate.
