First of all my aunt was forced in this raggedy home after she laid her son to rest. NHC is a…read morepoorly ran nursing home. Some of patient care tech don't care about their craft. You ask some of them questions and they act like you're bothering them. The floor charge just sits at the desk and appears to never do rounds. It's so sad that this home isn't at the top of the list of neglectful homes with senior services. My aunt says it feels like jail and the food tastes like shit which is why we have to bring snacks in case she doesn't want her meal. I wish we could remove her from that home but our hands are tied because my aunts granddaughter has all the power and lives out of state. Anyone considering putting their love one in NHC. DONT DO IT!!

After some research we put my Dad into NHC. Supposedly it's one of the better facilities, but if…read morethat's true, it's really sad. It felt like bait & switch on the rooms. They first put him into a room that was pretty pleasant -- one roommate, next to the window with sunlight streaming in. Soon they moved him into another room, and another, and another. Each room worse than the last. After his initial room, he was placed in rooms with 2 roommates. Typically 1 was cranky and was the guy closest to the window, and always kept the blinds shut, so the room was like a depressing dungeon. They don't take much care in keeping track of your possessions when they move you. Dad's expensive electric razor quickly went missing, and when I looked into the nightstand there was some other random person's wristwatch there. They kept insisting they do not have a lost & found, so I guess that means when somebody turns something in, like we did with the wristwatch, they either pocket it or throw it away. We never did get the razor back, or get compensated for its loss. I can't imagine a place like that not having a lost & found -- that's just ridiculous, and emblematic of their attitude that they just don't want to be bothered with it. COVID swept through, and sadly, Dad got it. He supposedly was over it and back into one of the regular dungeon rooms, but passed away soon after. Obviously we can't rollback the clock and do it again, but I wish we would have chosen another facility. Well, at least the farm animals are a nice touch.
