There's a lounge upstairs and they'll cut and light your cigar

I love this shop. It's not inexpensive but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I always try to stop in when I'm in London!

Enjoying a smoke in Winston Churchill's chair.

As the world's oldest tobacconist it certainly was a worthwhile visit in several ways. Huge selection of Habanos with plenty of limitadas, regionales and standard Cuban cigars on sales. Prices are high but the quality and rarity makes it worthwhile. I managed to grab some Punch Robustos that were just created in that size and arrived the day before. Giant selection of accessories, pipes and tobacco. Winston Churchill museum downstairs with a small but unique collection of his items including a chair which is a must stop for a photo with your smoke. Spacious lounge upstairs with plenty of seating, free beverages and more memorabilia. Staff was super helpful and friendly and made some great recommendations. If you're a cigar smoker this is a must stop.

A fantastic Cuban rolled Partagas No 1 smoke while in the smoke shop frequented by Winston Churchill himself.

The oldest and best purveyor of fine tobacco in London. Churchill was a frequent customer and JJF has multiple seals of approval from Her Majesty for many decades past to current.

Just wow. We visited from Nj with friends and we were told about this amazing cigar spot that has been there forever. Long story short my fiancé and I were able to make it there for an hour. George really made this an amazing experience for us. He was well dressed, personable, knowledgeable, funny, patient and more. He had recommended 2 great cigars the Drew Estate L40 and Bolivar. Just amazing smokes. When leaving, I was looking to buy some for my best friend and I for the road. Despite contacting my bank multiple times, my card was declined multiple times. George still offer d a great solution after being so patient and waiting for me while on the phone with my bank back in the USA while they were well passed closing time. Thanks George, you made a trip to London very memorable for us both in such a short period of time.

What's not to interest a cigar enthusiast about a historical tabacco shop? Stopped in during a business trip to London and found the place to be comfortable and welcoming. The prices are a bit high comparably which is the only reason for 4 stars, but the smoking lounge was great, complimentary coffee tea and water, and a very nice selection of Cuban cigars to choose from as well as others. Would recommend spending a little time here

JJ Fox on St James is the epitome of a classic tobacconist. They are the second oldest tobacconist in the world only to A La Civette in Paris however Fox feels far more sophisticated and classy. I think it is the knowledgeable, well appointed gentlemen that so nicely assist you with your purchase that make shopping here a cut above most other shops. This visit it was a couple of Juan Lopez Seleccion Superba UK Regional Edicions for £40 apiece. Cigars are certainly expensive in England however when they kindly invite you upstairs to their beautiful smoking lounge it makes it all worth the price. Any one that has a serious passion for quality cigars needs to visit JJ Fox on St James at least once in their life. It is also pretty cool to see their downstairs museum and sit in Churchill's smoking chair.

If you're searching for a real piece of history or just a cool spot to rest your toes, this quaint and beautiful cigar shop is an oasis. Incredible woodwork line the walls among the most interesting pics and parchments. Friendly and knowledgeable gents play as your hosts. Letters from the queen, pics of Mr. Churchill. and of course cigars. From all over the world, well cared and well presented. A nirvana, an altar of goodness, a cigar aficionado's wet dream. Cohibas, Montecristos, Cuabas, RJ's etc all from Havana Cuba, none of that fake branded crap they sell in the states, though also a good choice of DR Fuente and Honduran delights as well. Upstairs lounge is a sampling room. Free coffee n wifi to let you sample the treats below. No cigarette smoking allowed. Not cheap, but well valued.

They just laughed and welcomed me in. They understood vacation troubles. They were so kind and helpful. Took their time and treated me the same if I bought two sticks or two boxes. Great place. No one was quick to help me they just started at me and looked like they didn't want to be at work it was very disheartening considering how excited I was to be there. Once I actually asked someone to help me in the humidor I noticed that the sommelier wasn't helpful and when I picked out a very expensive cigar he picked one out that was cracked. For a $200 cigar I expected a perfect one which there was in the box but he gave me a damaged one. This place is also over priced. After leaving Davidoff of London I went to James J. Fox about 1 minute away and the staff was very helpful and enthusiastic to help me. Their cigars were all in great condition and cheaper than Davidoff of London. I felt like an idiot for over paying for the cigars at Davidoff when I could've purchased better condition and cheaper cigars at J. J. Fox. I heard about Davidoff on Kirby Allison's channel and he speaks so highly of them and grew to love them as well but unfortunately that love is lost. My advice would be to train the staff on hospitality it's clearly lacking, do a better job with quality control, and adjust your prices to be competitive with your neighbors.
