Most of the office gals have been great, but when I recently received a TEXT letting me know that the staff isn't going to be in office on the day of my scheduled cleaning (this appointment was made 5 months ago at my last cleaning) and giving me two options for reschedule dates I was done with them. If my business is so unimportant that they couldn't be bothered to call me to reschedule, I'll move on to a new dentist. I have always been happy with the service received by Dr. Clay, but I feel like my business is not important to them so I will find a new dentist.

They tried to upsell me on things I didn't even need, like a root canal. Neither my insurance company, their own corporate, nor I can get ahold of them because all calls go to voicemail & they get back to you days later. Perhaps it's because they are only open 2 days a week. Every excuse they use is that it must have been a "new person" working the desk. I don't get how "lemon" companies like this even stay in business and make it!

I get the blame for most of the 'bad' stuff. staff is most capable: Jen is a peach and does a nice job scheduling appointments around most of life's difficulties. The hygienists are professional and polite. the old office on Ohio is kinda cozy but parking is other than swell, expecting improvement at the new place. supposed to get new furniture too, think it splits between them and us.

Mind you, I was going back and forth to Iowa City for a month but mostly staying at the hospital with my mom, and was in terrible pain. My husband, Troy, knew Greg and Jenny and called them, explained the situation and they got me in about 30 minutes later. Been going there ever since. I have some health issues, unrelated, and they are always very kind and considerate. Ask how I'm doing. Greg, or Dr. MaHarry, is always very thorough in explaining what work that needs to be done. He's very straightforward yet polite at the same time. Which I prefer honesty and getting to the point. Just tell me what we need to do. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be the waiting to get in to be seen. Unless it's an emergency, then they will do all they can to help you. But I guess look at it on the bright side. Would there be that much of a wait if he sucked at his job? So I'll wait knowing the standard of quality I will receive while there. They won my heart and loyality when they showed me such compassion, without even knowing me, during such a difficult time in my life. I'm so glad Troy called them that day. Plus, Jenny just cracks me up. A fun and all around great place to go!

She assessed the problem and was able to complete the bonding that afternoon rather than having to come back for another appointment. katie is so kind and considerate to me/all patients…read more i had her fix 2-3 cavities with NO SHOT PER MY REQUEST. i have a high pain tolerance. she described what she would be doing and would stop regularly making sure i was tolerating what was going on. she would give me a shot if it got too much...it did NOT. she gives great info explaining in detail as she progresses. she could see when it did hurt me; she changed drills to make it faster in that specific area during the entire procedure. i highly recommend her to everyone; so happy i got her after my dentist for many decades RETIRED to live the "good life". lol since i have insurance, they file the claim for me. i recently got my 1st bill since i now have AETNA health/dental insurance. i'm trying to figure out how to pay this online with my credit card; so far no luck; but not giving up. thanks katie and asst. for your kindness and graciousness knowing i have to have my eyes covered due to 55 yrs. of chronic lyme disease / borrelia burgdorferi and bartonella/cat scratch disease, 2 species MISDIAGNOSED for 35 yrs. by up to 50 drs!! also i can't have the chair lowered very much due to a hiatal hernia in the breast area. they work WITH the patients to make them as comfy as possible.

I'd heard nothing but horror stories about wisdom tooth extraction, but my experience was so much better than I ever hoped it could be. I was greeted with a smile by the admin at their front counter. Not many doctors will take the time to actually sit with you and answer your questions; Dr. Pearson not only did that, but called personally to check in after surgery. His nurses were both professional and kind. While I hope you don't have to have oral surgery, if you find you need to, don't hesitate to trust Dr. Pearson and his team.
