This branch has been nothing but nice and thoughtful. I had issue after issue and they did everything they could to help and never made me feel bad for coming in. AVOID AT ALL COST! Coming here has been a complete nightmare! They have no clue as to how to submit a claim to insurance. They tried to upsell me on things I didn't even need, like a root canal. Neither my insurance company, their own corporate, nor I can get ahold of them because all calls go to voicemail & they get back to you days later. Perhaps it's because they are only open 2 days a week. Every excuse they use is that it must have been a "new person" working the desk. They seem nice, but they have no idea what they are doing. Scheduling an appointment is difficult since they change the time and dates without warning. I had a cleaning done there and was told a fluoride treatment was going to be done too. It never was. I was persuaded to start Motto invisible aligners. I was never told they were going to file down my teeth until they started grinding away. Also, i was told multiple times by multiple people that a second round of treatment with motto was included at no extra cost. When i asked for a second round of treatment, they told me no one in the office was qualified in motto. I was made to wear a tray of aligners for about a month. By that time they were broken/falling apart. As i grew impatient, I kept asking for updates on when i could start my second round of treatment. They decided to put me in retainers instead of continuing treatment. The retainers they gave me did not fit, and kept falling out, and even though i told them the moment i put them in, they made me use them anyway. Eventually they fell out and got stepped on, so i had to go back for another set, again delaying my second round of treatment. During this time i had asked multiple times for a copy of the contract i had signed for the Motto treatment. They have yet to give it to me and its been over a year since i my first set of trays. Currently, i have no retainers and Aspen dental is trying to charge me $1000 for a new set, and are refusing me a second round of treatment unless i pay. They are also refusing to remove the dental compunding on my teeth, needed for the aligner, which makes it difficult to find care at any other dental office. read more

I rarely write reviews but the lack of professionalism from the place inspired me to. Twice in a row now, I get a text from Aspen Dental telling me my scheduled appointments have been cancelled and need to be rescheduled, 30 minutes before said appointment. For reference I live 30 minutes away, so I'm already in my car heading here just to be told to screw off last second. I feel like I'm dealing with a flakey friend, not a dental office. I don't think they even have a working phone line currently either, probably because they can't afford to from cancelling all their appointments with no explanation, so don't even bother trying to call them for phone support. I called the Aspen head office twice to see what was going on and they have no idea either, and are also unable to communicate with this business, both times the phone rep said I'd get an email back from this place explaining what happened later that day, yet I haven't heard a single thing from them. If you don't care about your time being totally wasted and a complete lack of communication and respect for you as a costumer, then this is definitely the place for you. 0 stars if possible, don't even bother wasting your time here and please book elsewhere. read more

I'm posting on behalf of my husband. He was seen for exam and Xrays. They don't take our insurance so we went to a new dentist this afternoon. Well after a exam and Xrays. He has not 1 but THREE Absess. To say how disgusted I am in this company. I would give them a zero if able. Absess are nothing to mess with. I had 1 when I was 18 and it cut my airway off I almost needed a trach . I went into surgery at 18 knowing I would come out with one. Thankfully I didn't need. But these can be deadly. Let's hope a surgeon can see him asap. Before something happens. We do not recommend Aspen Dental. Not if you plan staying healthy read more

My mom has gone there for several years. Her provider doesn't listen. They tell her what she's getting instead of asking her what she wants. She went in for dentures; was told she'd need to have some work done on other stuff so the dentures would have a firm foundation to sit on. No problem. She was never given an estimated completion date. She just kept going back, being told now there was something new they had to do before she'd be done. Was strung along for about 2 years. Finally she went to a same day denture place in Des Moines. My brother went in for treatment of a tooth on the side near the back. It was pretty much shot, so it was gonna need some work. The doctor explained what he was going to do. My brother had limited funds so he was concerned. Now on the commercial, they show that if you can't pay for something they work with you. So this guy didn't say "This is how much this is going to cost." He said "How much do you have?" My brother told him. And then the guy says "That's exactly how much it costs." That's a very shady business practice. We're pretty sure he overpaid. read more

I am posting this on behalf of my husband, we were in the office in December of 2021 for X-rays and cleaning and a couple fillings. We presented them with all of our insurance information and paid the bill in full. We were told that the insurance would be billed and we would be reimbursed. It is now February 20th and I just talked to our insurance agent and they never received a thing from Aspen dental. So I called them and after being on hold for 20 minutes, I finally talked to a helpful person, who told me that they didn't have any insurance information on him. I don't know how they can run a business in such a haphazard way and still be successful. I will not be going back there for anymore work to be done. read more

The staff is extremely, friendly, polite and professional. Dr. Taina politely, patiently and professionally explained my dental correction plan. The first step of my dental process was to have an infected molar extracted. After a few days of antibiotics later, he pulled the molar along with some grinding of the bone and Dr. Taina is a champ ! When scheduling my appointment online, it was made very clear that the first appointment would include x-rays and a general review of what's going on in my mouth, with follow up appointments made for treatment after the initial exam was done. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and pleasant. I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me services, but generally cared about my well being. I have two broken wisdom teeth, which was the initial reason for my visit, and they were quick to get me scheduled with an oral surgeon to get them removed. I would definitely recommend Aspen Dental to friends and family. read more

I went to Aspen Dental in Fort Dodge several weeks ago with extreme mouth pain. I will give them credit for making me feel better about not going to a dentist in awhile (my decision-regret it know) told me I need quite a bit of dental work done. They wanted to do work on something that wasn't the issue. I had two teeth knocked out, they wanted to do just a bridge over that instead of just pulling it which would cost me $4K there and to get pulled elsewhere gonna cost me a lot less. Back to my main point they ignored my wisdom tooth being impacted and needed removed ASAP. They told me eventually I will need it. My wisdom tooth was causing the pain. I saw someone else, told me I needed to go get it removed. So I went elsewhere for my dental work and I WILL NOT go back. I think their big worry is getting money for the work instead of focusing on what NEEDS to be done. In all honesty I wouldn't suggest Aspen Dental to anyone. read more

I was getting ready to get braces, so I needed some teeth pulled. I told my mother to try Aspen out, instead of going to our original dentist, and that was one of the worst ideas I ever had. When we got there, it was so clean and nice. I told myself that it seems like a pretty good place. They had me fill out paper work and whatnot since it was my first time, and once that was finished, my mother and I waited (about ten, fifteen minutes). When they called me back there, everyone I spoke to was very polite. That also made me believe this was a good place. Once I got back to the room, that's where everything went bad. They sat me down, told me since I was new they had to take X-rays and everything, so I said okay. I also told them why I was there (teeth pulling). They took the X-rays, then looked at my teeth. They told me I had three cavities and something else I do not remember since this was a while ago. They told me those needed to be fixed, I said alright. She told me she would be right back with a shot (to numb mouth, teeth pulling). She titled my seat back before she left. My mother and I were sitting there for half a hour until the receptionist or whoever came back and said we were all done. My mother and I were not too happy. I went to the original dentist, and I had zero cavities, and they pulled my teeth right away. I would not recommend this place. They don't even have actual dentists. They're all assistants or whatever. Go somewhere else if you can. read more
