I found doing our own taxes was nerve-racking, as we were afraid we would miss out on tax savings or commit some error on our returns. We had been audited with our prior accountant, and that added to the IRS phobia. Mike always puts our minds at ease, and he has found many savings for us over the years, offers terrific suggestions for opportunities to lower our tax bills, and charges extremely reasonable fees. Mike completes our taxes very quickly once we give him all of our paperwork and statements, and he posts them in a web portal for us to review and approve prior to filing. In addition, he is always fast to respond to any queries we have. He has made a formerly taxing exercise easy, and we definitely can file him under "professional".

I never ever thought that I would ever need a personal accountant...it seemed like an unnecessary and expensive expense and something that I should be able to handle on my own. I had no idea what I was in for. There was no way that I could sift thru all the paperwork on my own. And I had no idea how it would affect my personal affairs as well. I was at a total loss! A friend of mine highly recommended Richard. She worked with him at Bank Of America. She and her family had been using him for years, and wouldn't go elsewhere. I took her recommendation and can't tell you how satisfied I am with his services. He totally out us at ease and we received our refunds faster than I have ever received them. There should have been no confusion as I sold my income property and had all those documents separated for him. However, as a result, I received a return correction notice zeroing out my $600+ credit. I called Patrick to correct his mistake and he directed me to work with the Dept. of Revenue directly to provide what they are looking for. Now, they are saying I can only claim part of the credit because I bought the house in 2017. Reading online, it looks like I'm eligible for the credit on my sold property too. 6 months later, I still need to submit new documents and figure this out myself. Isn't that what I paid him for? By the time this is over, I will have spent countless hours on this over 8-10 months to fix his simple mistake. I think he knows what he's doing but he is working too fast and is prone to mistakes as a result. Then you're on your own to fix his mistakes.
