Rudeness, Disprespect and Disgusting treatment of a client of three years...so happy to be out of your establishment. The Aveda name should be ripped off of your business.
Oh to be able to give zero stars. I have fine hair. In all my years of having my hair coloured, nobody has done to me what JD Aberdeen have done. I was a client for three years, choosing an Aveda salon purposely and tipped my hair dresser very well by UK standards. After the third time having to have "bleeds" fixed in my highlights, once for my wedding and the last time by a woman who was clearly annoyed she had to do the work at all, not mumbling ONE word in nearly 90 minutes except to call over a manager and talk super critically about my regular stylist. And, my stylist during my next visit was called aside to be asked why my appointment was taking "so long". I was advised, then and there, that from now on, due to the thickness of my hair, I'd be charged nearly double. Not in over 25 years of colouring my hair, at some of the best salons in Los Angeles/Beverly Hills, have I been told I had thick hair (and even in Beverly Hills, I paid less than here).
I paid my bill and left asking to speak to the manager of the salon at his convenience. I was phoned a few days later by the manager who spent an excessive amount of time on the phone telling ME what was wrong with ME and how wrong I was, and my husband was witness to this conversation as I made sure to have it on speakerphone. In my years as a retail manager in my younger days, I was never advised to treat a client, a REGULAR client especially, so poorly and with such disrespect. I was even told "if you can't afford our fees..." which is ridiculous because I can, and I have zero issue paying good money for good hair. In fact, it's one of the things I happily over spend on as long as the service and process is meeting expectations.
No effort was made to retain me as a client, no apology was offered and very quickly took my business elsewhere to a better colourist where I've not had any "bleeds" and have been made to feel comfortable and I leave happy. I've never been so completely and totally disrespected by an establishment in my life. I could pay anything I like to get my hair done, it's a bit of a shame for YOU that your management chose to be so rude, that I now spend that money elsewhere.
James Dun's House, you are a smudge and an embarassment to the Aveda name. I won't even walk through your doors for a bottle of shampoo, I go out of the way to order it online.
I've heard many stories about the manager at this salon, and his reputation is always the same, he's a bully and he's always accused the client of being in the wrong. Well, I guess my 20% tips and my over £200 services every six weeks aren't that important. Nor is the over £100 I used to spend every couple of weeks on products in the salon.
You, are a joke! read more
