They have a way of making me feel like a shmuck coming in for the first time year after year when I'm on file with them, don't I pay you to fill out forms ?. This year was the last time I'm doing business with them I told them and I'm taking my business elsewhere. I jumped on yelp to see what's in the area and this place seemed to be rated well so I went to see Todd. I was amazed that Todd took me in with no appointment as a walk in and after a few questions he had what he needed to do my taxes, no three pages of forms to fill out. I was also amazed that he changed me just about half of what the pain in the ass place charges me, my taxes are not super complicated. For a shmuck off the street for the first time Todd made me feel way better than as a returning client from my old place.

Will got the personal tax returns done in a timely fashion but am still waiting on the refund check. I also gave him the estate account which he assured me he knew what he was doing. So almost a year later and numerous e mails and phone calls trying to get in touch with Will I basically fired him. I went and got all the paperwork and documents for my fathers estate and had to find a new accountant to take on this task. The new accountant did a superb job in a quick and timely manor but Because of Will's no response I had missed irs deadlines for the estate tax returns. The only reason I went with Will and J&M was because of my fathers long history with them. Needless to say I believe my father would be ashamed of the way his family was treated by J&M and specifically Will! Unfortunately there is not a spot for zero stars otherwise that would be my rating.

I initially telephonically spoke with RPB partner Brad Voght, who wound up working with me. After our initial discussion regarding the issues I presented him, he quickly outlined what he could do and what the initial fees would be. His promises were all kept and I was very pleased with the professionalism both he and his staff afforded me. I found Brad to be a no-nonsense-cut-to-the chase, efficient and tenacious CPA. Subsequent to the completion of this year's tax return, Brad informed me that, during a review of my 2021 tax returns in preparation for the 2022 tax return, he discovered a major error and asked me if I wanted to file an amended return, which I happily agreed to. The fee for this was reasonable and resulted in a substantial refund for a portion of the taxes I paid that year. It goes without saying that I highly recommend RPB.
