Please be cautious when using Odessa Patton, Agent at Keller, Williams Downing Group Real Estate. Our closing process was horrendous! We wired ALL of the closing fees and was prepared to close on Oct 18th. As we were in transient to the Attorney's Office for closing. We received a call from our agent, to inform us that she had overlooked the 0.5% that should have been factored in to her commission. She apologized for the inconvenience. We retired after 30 years of working for the Army, Air Force, Marines, and Navy. We were excited about our forever home to located near family. On the contrary our dreams were shattered, all due to my realtor, Odessa Patton. Once arriving to the attorney's office, we were informed that Ms. Patton had just notified them of her OVERSIGHT approximately a hour or so ago! Our attorneys tried to negotiate with Ms. Patton since all of the payments had been finalized. She denied the negotiations. Needless to say, we were unable to close was scheduled because Keller Williams Real Estate could have placed a lien on our house and sold it from under us. We depended on this Agent to successfully operate in her field. She fell short due to her inability to pay attention to detail. This was a huge disappointment for my husband and I because we followed every step as informed. We drove two hours to our anticipated closing appointment and scheduled services to be performed the day of closing. What was supposed to be a two hour exciting trip ended up being a 48 hours nightmare. We had to reschedule our wifi, security system, etc. due to the not being issued keys at closing; we were forced to reschedule. In order to return the next day, we had to get a hotel room and purchase clothing and toiletries. This was an inconvenience for me and my husband. Lastly, the 3% commission ended up being more than 3.5% because we had to pay her real estate company's Admin fee.
