The doctor showed a lot of patience and didn't make me feel rushed even when I had a lot of random questions. They explained things clearly and gave some options to think over. The place was clean and the front desk helped me figure out a couple things without a fuss. It wasn't perfect but way better than some other places I've been. The first time I met Dr.Watson was in front of me when I was in labor, with my legs open and with my husband at my side (it's funny that life takes you to those points). When I saw how big his hands were I started to fear, but the truth is he was very professional and patient, apart from that I appreciate the suture because it turned out excellent, almost as if I hadn't had a baby and you don't know how much that helps for mothers' self-esteem. I had my first baby with Dr Watson almost ten years ago, and ended up having a home birth with my second. He was always nice, appointments quick, and staff friendly. Even though my first pregnancy ended in an emergency cesarean, he did an amazing job catching my hypertension, also with the emergency surgery as well. I was very lucky and blessed to have him as my OB/GYN. My initial meeting with him was when I was planning a family. I explained to him about my condition and he referred me for IVF procedure, which I went through. If you're not familiar with IVF, after one's confirmed pregnancy shows heartbeat, it's then time to be transferred to the ob/gyn for the first 8 weeks check up. Between the confirmation and the first check up there's a period of about a week or so when technically you're not officially a patient. This was what happened to me when my miscarriage happened. However, Dr. Watson handled me as if I was already a long time patient. He was very sympathetic, answering my questions by phone, etc. For my second IVF pregnancy, he is my ob/gyn and he was very reassuring. Even got me in the office the same day make sure I was OK after a fall. He made sure I monitor my blood pressure, sugar level, etc. And, again, answered any questions (even after hours) I had. When I was 35 weeks along, I had preeclampsia, which necessitated an emergency C-section. Dr. Watson was out of office but he still gave me a call (even though he was out of office) to make sure I was OK and my daughter is OK. I really appreciate the times he reached out to make sure I was OK and for all the reassurance that my baby was developing properly. I didn't think I would have been able to go through this pregnancy (especially after the trauma of miscarriage) had it not been for the support that him (and his office people, Martha and Terry) gave me. read more

I wish I can give this office 0 stars! My review dates back to Feb. 2021 I was pregnant with my first baby and came to Watson as a referral from my colleague. Worst mistake ever! I was in the beginning of my 2nd trimester and suddenly began to bleed. I called Dr. Watson and informed him of my situation and he said that most likely it was dry blood sitting in my uterus. At this point I was lightly bleeding and was 3 days away from a weekly checkup apt with him. During my apt he did not transvaginally check me and again told me not to worry. That same night I started bleeding heavier and called him and he said to swing by the office the next day. The next day came by and he checked me and told me that my cervix was opening and prescribed me progesterone pills and put me on bed rest! A day later I was in tons of pain and called him and he called me back 1 hour later and he blew it off like it wasn't a concern. I did not hesitate and called a nurse at my nearest hospital and they recommended me to come in. Next thing I know a Dr. came in and informed me that I was going to miscarry due to my cervix opening. I informed Watson of my situation and he wanted to follow up with me 2 weeks after everything had happened. He was apathetic towards my partner and I and told to us that this was just a "Bump on the road" this would not have been a bump on the road in the first place had he checked me sooner! THIS WAS NOT OKAY!! I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. read more

This is absolutely the worse "doctor/gynecologist" you can go to. His "care" quality is bottom of the barrel. He lacks empathy and compassion and this is very noticeable behind his empty hallow eyes. I am honestly not sure why he decided to get into this field if he lacks the empathy and compassion that is to be needed in this field of work. After years of having my medical needs brushed off by Dr.Watson and hearing from others in person how they too have had such a bad experience with him, then to read these reviews it is absolutely saddening and shocking how he is still in business. His medical advice is simply a bandaid to rush you out of his office, and his front staff shares this same cold attitude. One time I went to his office due to very heavy prolonged bleeding and asked for a simple doctors note for that day as I could not go into work due to the appointment and my well being at the time. Just to be denied one and told that I should still be able to do things as I normally would. Silly me right? I donot know my own body, I should let a MAN decipher that for me and tell me how I should be feeling. This "doctor" is a joke. I am so glad I never went back to this clinic and got the actual care I needed after years of his neglect and simply putting a bandaids on medical issues. This doctor does not care to do tests, or anything. As you see in the reviews he just brushes things off, and sadly for some this has led to miscarriages. Dr. Watson is a great OB. He delivered my first child via cesarean in 2014, i didnt go back to him for my second child and opted for a VBAC at a birth center with a midwife because another hospital cesarean birth did not align with my wants or needs. He was always kind, funny when appropriate, and caring. I felt at ease in his office and the ladies at the front desk always remember your name and are sweet. I would just urge first time mothers to educate themselves if they want a natural birth. Take care of your body! read more

I've argued with various doctors for about 10 years about wanting to have a hysterectomy, as I've made my peace with the side effects: no more pregnancies/children. Although Dr. Watson did not deliver my 14 year old son, I am beyond grateful for his patience and [although reluctant at first] utter respect for my own choices. I cannot thank him enough. He tried many times to offer various alternatives, but I was firm in my decision. I truly appreciate the fact that he was empathetic to my circumstances and various reasons why this was the best choice for me. He never prodded for answers and knew when to drop a subject. Dr. Watson did not come across as a caring physician. I had two miscarriages in a row and asked him to do some testing on my hormone levels and thyroid to find out why I was having a hard time keeping the baby. He said that I have to have at least three miscarriages before they would check that and made me feel like it was no big deal. It is a huge deal to me and very traumatizing. I went on to have an additional miscarriage. The next doctor I went to had no problem doing the testing after two miscarriages especially based on my age (40). In addition he did not seem to care about any of my concerns from the beginning or take much time with me during the exam. I felt it was rushed. read more

After having to leave Kaiser when I got new insurance, I was on the hunt for a new and good dr. The first one I got was NOT what I was looking for. So I went out again, this time coming here to Yelp first! Dr. Watson's new office is great, clean, nice looking and easy to find. His staff is courteous, prompt and very helpful. Dr. Watson himself is great. He listens, is attentive to your needs/concerns etc. My first Dr from Kaiser recommended one procedure, the second Dr shot that down and went DRASTIC and Dr. Watson listened to all I had been through and gave his opinion. While I opted for the lesser of the two procedures he recommended, he didn't make me feel bad for picking the "lesser of two evils". He listened to my history and had my procedure done at the hospital so that I would not have to have pain or anxiety. My procedure went off without a hitch, Dr. was on time and helpful, making sure I didn't have any more questions. I'd recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new and younger, up to date doctor. read more

Dr Watson is an amazing physician. After a detailed first visit with Dr Watson, I walked away feeling relieved that I had found the right doctor. He took a relaxed approach, but was thorough with his lab work and was able to advise what was needed to become pregnant. 2 months later I was expecting. He was professional, with some occasional humor thrown in to each prenatal visit, which made me feel at ease. The entire pregnancy he was thorough and cautious. At 37 weeks, I went in for my weekly appointment and my blood pressure was a bit raised. He immediately sent me to Saint Louis hospital as a precaution. I was monitored there and after his last appointment he came to the hospital to check on my status. It was then determined I had pre eclampsia and Dr Watson advised I be induced. He continued to check in throughout my labor, in person not over the phone. He advised on pain management and overall was amazing. Our daughter was born a bit on the smaller side and was transferred to another hospital to be monitored. As a result my blood pressure continued to run high after being separated from her, but Dr Watson continued to check in with me about the baby and managed my blood pressure issue once I returned home. Dr Watson just lacks empathy plain and simple. I have never felt so rushed or judged by anyone in my life. Went in for a pap as it had been awhile and wanted to talk to him about family planning. Never got to really ask any questions anything I did ask he answered in one word answers. Few weeks later my husband and I had a positive pregnancy test, we were over the moon. I soon started getting some cramping, I called him he said it was nothing but if I started bleeding to let him know. His attitude on the phone was that I was bugging him asking these questions. I called and left a message that I had started bleeding and no response... no call back nothing. I called him again to cancel my apt I was in tears on the phone barely able to get sentences out and he said nothing except take a pregnancy test in a few days and if I was still pregnant to call back and schedule an apt... this was my first and I was obviously so upset and he had no empathy and told me it was normal. I understand this does unfortunately happen regularly but for the love of god as least be nice and understanding on the phone when someone is balling their eyes out. Safe to say I found a new doctor. When I called the receptionist of my new doctor she said she unfortunately has heard that before about him and she is incredibly sorry I'm having to go through such an emotional time. Dr Watson office take notes... I would not recommend anyone to him - unless you want to feel like your just in the way and your questions are not valid. read more

Dr. Watson and his staff are wonderful. There is never a wait- if your apt is at 9, you will be seen at 9. They are all so kind and the visits are quick (without being rushed). I did have an issue with a pregnancy and had to be on bed rest at Good Sam. Even though I was at a hospital where he did not deliver, Dr. Watson called me personally to check in and also spoke with my specialists during my month-long stay. I am pregnant with my first child and my first visit was my last. My fiance recently got cut back hours and we lost our insurance, so I had to get medi-cal which I'm so thankful for. Dr. Watson literally took 4min and was such in a rush and kepted bring up the fact I had Medi-Cal. He didn really let me see my new growing baby in my belly (which any new mother wants to see of course and father). So I switched Doctors. Then I got a call from HIM, not an assistant saying "so you want to go to a different doctor" I said yes, he said " ok I'll send your paper work right over and he hung up on me. I must say that this is the very best obgyn I have ever encountered. The office staff is fabulous and attentive, the doctor is so personable and doesn't ever make you feel uncomfortable. Three years ago I went to Dr, Watson for vaginal bleeding. After an examination he called me and told me I needed a hysterectomy and he would remove my ovaries also,even though their was no reason for him to remove them. I wanted a second opinion so I went to Stanford in Palo Alto and they highly disagreed with Dr. Watson. I didn't need a hysterectomy or my ovaries removed. Thy gave me a medication that corrected my problem and everything is fine now,and I check out normal. Thanks to Stanford. read more

Seen Watson for the first time today for pregnancy. The visit was short, and a little rough with pap smear. Not to mention the ultrasound wasn't fun either. Pretty disappointed with the service I received from the dr. His staff was wonderful. My guess for the unprofessionalism is cuz I have Medi-Cal. Cuz other patients rant about him in letters that are posted in the waiting room. Oh, maybe I'm not the only one that feels this way, there was nobody else there. Dr Watson is very nice and attentive to you when you are talking to him. He actually sits down during your office visit and does not rush you. I felt very at ease during my first prenatal visit because he was so laid back. His front office staff is so nice and helpful when you call for an appt. It is easy to get an appt and most importantly you do not have to wait long at all when you show up! He is highly recommended by the doctors and nurses I work with which is even more helpful. Dr Watson is an amazing physician. He is super smart and caring. I had a lot of questions at all of our prenatal visits and he took the time to thoroughly answer them and make sure I was comfortable. He is very calm and always put my mind at ease. To some of the reviews on here that aren't positive if you don't ask questions or let the doctor know your concerns he can't help you. He's not a mind reader and everyone's level of understanding and knowledge during pregnancy is different. Just ask questions. For my first visit I literally Googled questions to ask at your first prenatal appointment because I was so lost. Also his office staff is so sweet and kind. I never had to wait to be seen and there were always openings that worked with my schedule. I really appreciated that towards the end of pregnancy when you go in more often. During delivery doctor got there super fast and coached me through the pushing process and I had a quick natural delivery. I'm very grateful to Dr Watson and highly recommend you go see him if you are expecting. You won't be disappointed. read more
