These are all in an enclosed space for little ones to play safely. The older kids are catered for with a zip wire and a tyre swing, as well as a footbal court. There are toilets that are clean and the park is kept clean too, plus there's loads of free parking. It's open all year round too. There isn't anywhere to buy food and drink but it is a great place for a picnic, so bring your own instead. Something worth noting is that it's also a very popular dog walking area so if your children are scared of dogs, just be aware. Most dog owners are great but when we visited there were a coupe of great hulking dogs that took a dislike to each other and both were off their leads. One owner obviously had no control over his dog either. It all ended safely, but there was a lot of baking and snarling, and that was just the owners, and my daughter didn't like it at all.

(20 minutes) *Walk to Whitecross Street. (10 minutes) *Head to Fix Coffee - get all the coffee possible. (10 minutes) *Husband to Waitrose for supplies. (SOLO, lucky duck -- this is what I get for refusing to cook). *Me with dog/baby to Fortune Street Park. (30 seconds from Waitrose) *Sit on a park bench, enjoy green space, nice park, loads of other children/babies happily chirping, eating at picnic tables, kicking balls around, playing on playground, etc. (5 minutes) *Spread baby out on blanket (4 minutes). Put back in buggy (2 minutes) *Let dog relieve herself. Responsibly dispose (15-45 minutes depending on her mood). *More coffee from Giddyup Coffee Cart in park (THANK GOD - 2 minutes) *Meet husband, walk back with all the groceries. Baby sleeps. Dog half asleep. *Return home! Happy, caffeinated parents, full refrigerator, all beasts with fresh air in their lungs and sleep in their eyes. Obviously given the weather we didn't spend much time outdoors, but I was impressed with the size and quality of the wooden outdoor play area, and the Little Tikes outdoor activity area for younger kids looked really good, as did the ride on tractors and trailers. Shaggy's play barn is absolutely fabulous - the slides kept me and the kids entertained for hours - we only stopped sliding briefly for lunch! The kids also really enjoyed feeding the sheep and goats, although being at the age where they still put their fingers in their mouths quite a lot worried me a bit, even though I helped them wash their hands thoroughly - probably just me being paranoid!
