However, it has been more than 5 months since we moved out of the apartment, the owner/manager still did not return our deposits. Even worse, I have called him probably more than 20 times, but the manger/owner never responds to inquiry calls. Very annoying. I asked my friend who also stayed there for more than 2 years. They did not get back their deposits either. It seems that the owner/manager is playing games and never plans to return tenants' deposits. STAY AWAY FROM THE APARTMENTS!!!

I sat there for over 30 minutes discussing how in my boyfriends line of work they could call him tomorrow and tell him they need him in California (or wherever) as soon as that next day. This is why hotels usually work out so much better. But on this particular job they told him for sure 3 months and that it could be extended. So the owner said I can bring it down to a 4 month lease but nothing less, I said wonderful, we are still saving so much more money. She also said that if it was going to be longer to just let her know. Perfect, this was all working out, she was working with me, everything was good. We paid every payment ON TIME, kept our place spotless, and if I had any questions the owner gave me her cell phone number so i could easily text her, which i did for simple things, like the code to laundry room and so on. She was always nice and responded quickly. In the month of April I had 3 people randomly show up at our apartment. I'm home alone and always get nervous when someone random shows up (unless they have flowers, hehe) all joking aside, the first one was a normal looking man, mid 40s. He's jiggling my door knob so i assume its my boyfriend home early I go to look inside the peep hole (which is set so high its hard for me to see) and see its not my boyfriend so i scream what do you want and he looks up at the peep hole and goes "oh i'm sorry i must have the wrong apartment" The next time it was maintenance. He comes knocking on the door so i pop my head out and ask what i can help him with and he says "I'm with maintenance, how long are you guys going to be here (this is mid april) I glance around and say "a few more weeks or so" and he goes okay thank you and leaves. The third time its the same creepy maintenance man (I say creepy because he has no teeth and has scary facial features) I open the door and say "yes" and he said you ordered maintenance? I told him we have never called for maintenance he said "oops i must have the wrong place" and leaves. Also my boyfriend got a call from the daughter asking when we might leave (also mid april) and he said "could be a couple weeks, we aren't sure." We were very confused why they kept hassling us on our departure date. We assumed we had the place till the end of may since thats what we signed for/paid for. Well here comes May, time for rent again. I go in again to pay rent sit down and get ignored BY THE OWNER because she's on the phone with her mother asking her if she went grocery shopping and all other unnecessary things to be discussing when you have 3 PEOPLE in your office wanting to pay rent. I sat patiently waiting, not letting her ignore me bother me. Finally she got off stared at her computer then decided to start talking to me. She asks what apartment looks at her book looks back up at me and says "Michelle" and I said no and corrected her with my name and she goes "Oh, you know you guys told us last month you were going to be out of that apartment in a couple weeks. Ive been trying to rent that out to somebody else. You cant just tell us you're going to leave and then just stay." I have never been yelled at by an owner of a business. My mother runs a very successful business and would never talk to her customers this way. Especially when we have never done anything wrong, keep our place very very nice and clean and pay rent IN CASH and on time. Ridiculous. I starred at her stunned unaware of even where to start. I reminded her that i told her that we heard that we might possibly be leaving in the next couple months and as long as we were payed up that it was fine for us to leave whenever as long as we let them know. She said "no way we said that. I have someone that has been looking at this apartment. I'm trying to run a business and when you come in here telling us you're leaving in a couple weeks we think you are really leaving in a couple weeks." I told her that i never said a specific date or week and didn't understand where all the confusion and hatefulness is coming from. She then opens her books and says "there is a question mark next to her statement. But you guys still should've told us more clearly. Now I cant put this new tenant in there." I was appalled that I was being treated like this. So I walk back to my apartment and grab my boyfriend to try to help me from being bullied from this over wait owner. As soon as he walks in her tone is different and she is much nicer to him. She told him that I was raising my voice and giving her false dates and that this is happening because i had "lied" to them. He explained the 3 incidence with the strange men coming to the door and how he was uncomfortable with that knowing I'm here alone. She explains that its her maintenance man that she sent him over there to see if we were still living there.

The only dogs I see when I visit are pitbulls. All I can say is leash laws need to be in effect and keep the animals away from where children play because they poop in the sand and these owners of these animals are not very bright to clean up and take them where they can run free. The property is very clean. Need to plant more flowers and bushes. Maybe the residents can plant their own and the tribe and home improvement stores can donate shrubbery.

Its maintenance is top notch, and best of all, on site. Any problems I ever had were solved quickly and efficiently. However, it had its issues. For one, it was a little overpriced for how cheaply the apartments were made. They look very nice and function as much as an apartment should, but they are made of cheap material and it shows at times. There parking situation is also a bit clustered. No one who isn't a resident is allowed to park in the lot overnight. At least, that is what the rules say, but the lack of enforcement often would leave residents out in the cold. Overall, if you need a place to live, it isn't a bad decision, but it isn't the greatest.

I tried texting and calling him numerous times and he would ignore me until I would threaten him and then he said he would fix it. Didn't fix it until march( after Ada had a 19 degree day. Thank God my parents let me borrow heaters). Then my fridge went out and it took him months to replace that with another crappy fridge and I had to buy a mini fridge on a fixed budget to prevent me from starving and food to go bad( lots of ramen during this time). Finally, we discovered holes in the walls that allowed roaches and fleas even though no pets were allowed at all and we had a huge infestation of roaches and it never got taken care of the many times I called and harassed him on text and call. I had such anxiety that I was trying everything to get rid of them( even dangerous methods) to no avail. I also got heat exhaustion in the summer and went to the ER for it because there was no AC and he wouldn't put one in at all. Very sketchy place. He would only show up for rent. I broke my lease and moved out in 7 months. Worse place I ever lived in. I actually left it in way better shape when I moved and cleaned it than when I moved in and didn't get my deposit back.
