Finally taking charge of my own garden and lawn needs I headed to the Potting Shed one of Berea's more knowledgeable and customer-oriented garden and lawn product /service vendors. Lukas took charge. He sent me home to take pictures and upon my return we spent $195.00 replacing "last year's" grasses. So, my recommendation: Find a local vendor and service provider with an interest in the long term relationship. We scheduled a time for him to come see the trees he came when he was supposed to and told me then it was more than what it looked like in the pic. I agreed telling him it did and I wouldn't hold him to the original quote. We came to an agreement that was about $800 more than originally quoted. I thought this was very reasonable. We planned on the following Monday. He sent me the quote and the day and had me sign an agreement. The Monday he chose was Memorial Day. He text me and apologized he didn't realize it was Memorial day but they would work on Tuesday I again I was very understanding and had no problem with this. Tuesday it was raining, he text me and said they were going to watch the rain and try to come out. They never did which it rained a lot again no problem. Wednesday he text me and said they were going to be out to get started. I thanked him and asked if he had an idea about what time so I could make sure my dogs were put up. 3hrs later he text me and said he was getting the crew together and they were planning to be here around noon. I had arranged for my daughter to be here to keep the dogs put up and she said they came by for a little bit but not long and left. I came home I didn't see any work to be done. Thought maybe it was the rain again. Thursday was completely dry and sunny but not a word from Ryan. I text him at 11 on Thursday to make sure everything was okay, and no response. On Friday I text him again and no response. My husband did notice that there was a small amount of work that did get done which we did not see bc it was on the other side. Pics below. I text Ryan again and have called and left him a VM. I can't even pay him for what little work he did do because he won't return my phone calls or text messages. They trimmed all shrubs, removed about 6 or 7 that was hit hard by the past winter and some just had gotten to big and gawdy looking. They put new mulch down and they always clean up and leave the property looking so much better than when they arrive. THe workers are always polite, very accommodating and very professional in their jobs. Hard working and seem to love what they are doing and who they are working for. Aaron is always prompt on responding to calls and text. Very nice, polite and will go out of his way to make his customers happy. What more can you ask for....nothing.
