Well its been 24 hours so I guess I'll spend my money at Cherry Nail in Paducah! Sad that a new business in a small community would not eve attempt to call someone back. But better yet why would I even have to wait for a call back to set an appointment. You lost my business before I was even in the door there!! Since I can't respond the message I received back. I was not told that the person that needed to call back was off work yesterday and since there is such limited hours that the shop is open one would think there is a nail tech there during hours of operation since you shows walk in welcomes!

Ivy is phenomenal, the entire staff was sweet and attentive. To say I now only have to drive 1 mile to get my nails done has me over the moon elated. Even if they had clearly communicated, we would have left and got services else where, where we both were able to get serviced. They clearly didn't have an appointment, it was very obvious because of there initial interaction. We got there at 5 they close @7. They asked what they were their to get, she had brought a friend to introduce, etc. When he finished my pedicure he proceeds to ask me if I needed anything else, I said no she just needs her manicure. He then says he can't, he has to get to them, and she can come back tomorrow. I don't appreciate that and won't be spending my money here anymore.

First of all, her nails were supposed to be "almond" shaped. Instead she got a modified pointed type nail? The nail is oversized for her actual nail/finger. The material has been applied too thick and messily. She has paint remnants all over her cuticles. There was a literal hunk of the nail material on her skin by her thumb nail. The final straw were the "hearts" that had to be removed because they looked like male genitalia. Needless to say, lesson finally learned.

The card also had a nail technician's name on it. She left Magnolia House a few weeks after the gift certificate was purchased. Not my problem! So I called for an appointment several times & left messages. I never received a call back. I finally wrote an email and the owner told me to make an appointment online. Went to my appointment. BUT when we were done, they would not honor the gift certificate. So I had to pay for the service my husband thought was a gift. To me, a customer to the Magnolia House, the clear message was...your husband spent good money with us, but we're not honoring that gift certificate because the person who waited on you is gone. NOT a good way to treat your customers!!! Bad business ethics!!!
