A good company to get remodeling work done. Affordable and they got the job done in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Bauer Roofing is a well oiled machine. They are tight like band that's been playing together for years. Making an appointment at noon on Friday to the initial consultation happening that same Friday afternoon same day to the choices of materials and wide array of services offered. They have all the top names and best quality products. You can't go wrong. They have access to a great finance program that beats the others. Pricing is competitive, all staff are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable and the end result for us was much better than I ever thought was achievable. The owner even came to check in on us Saturday morning. The job was planned, started, and finished quicker than anticipated and distractions were minimal. We enjoyed watching the work being done. It was a home run! Special thanks to Roy, Jonathan, Johnny, Eve, Amos and the crew you all were outstanding! This is a perfect example of a Family Business showing how things SHOULD BE DONE! Cheers!

After calling multiple roofing companies and either not getting any answer or being told that they…read morewere too busy to work on our roof, we were so happy to find Mayhem. The guys at Mayhem were communicative and moved quickly to get our roof fixed. John came out to provide an estimate on a Tuesday and the roofers were scheduled to come out on the following Monday to complete the work. Because rain was coming through on Monday, John gave us a call on Friday and helped us to reschedule for Saturday. So, within the course of a week we had our roof back in order. And, Mayhem doesn't take payment until after all work is done and you are satisfied with the repairs. I would highly recommend this company. I felt like we got a fair deal on our repairs and that they care about providing great service.

Eric M. from Mayhem Roofing came to my house to inspect leaking coming from my chimney to my ceiling and inside my living room wall. Before Eric M. came to my house, I told him the issues I was having and what had been done previously in the past to fix the problems. Previously, chalking was used on the chimney flashing. Days later, Eric M. finally came to my house and removed existing flashing (a sheet that was made of light metal) around the chimney, put sealant around the j-mold, placed chalking around the chimney flashing, and replaced one shingle. Eric M. charged me $800.00 for the job. I asked Eric M. to explain the excessive charges. Eric M. stated for the sealant and chalking cost roughly $300.00 and the other $500.00 was for labor. My labor fees should not have been $500.00. The two men crew was not even at my house for an hour and a half. I asked Eric M. to explain the labor fees and he stated that is just the way it is!! Unprofessional, poor quality, and over priced. I had a 2300 sf cedar siding home and large deck…read morethat needed painting. I interviewed several painters and Student Painters sold me on quality of work by showing me several positive reviews. Their price was a little bit higher than some competitors but I figured for quality I'll pay a little extra. BIG MISTAKE! Several months later when they began the "crew" was far from professional. Trash was in the yard, general appearance, spitting, cussing, and poor quality. I could have saved thousands and went to the university and grabbed a couple of random kids myself. Window trims didn't match, splattered paint many places, missed boards and sections, didn't paint behind exterior lights, paint on some lights/non wood, and the list goes on. I called Jake (manager) back out and he agreed that they needed to do some touch up. So the crew showed back up and addressed about half of the problems. It was very difficult to get in contact with the regional manager but I finally got him out and both guys agreed that there was still much more work to be done. So I took more time off of work to be there a third(may have been forth) time so they could "complete" the job. Finally things looked better. Well...got on the roof yesterday and saw more sections that were incomplete/poorly painted. Ughhh! Guess I'll just do the touch up myself this time. Forgot to mention the dispute about the contract that clearly said "Windows". Apparently that didn't mean all of the trim so he charged me extra for that. By the way, that check was written out to him and not the company... Shady. Learn from my mistake and and go with a professional painter.

I completely agree with Devin's review as I had a very similar experience. I too was seduced by…read morethe notion that I would like to hire some earnest kids from USC just starting out. The pricing seemed very steep when compared to other professional organizations but I reasoned that it would be money well spent for the future betterment of a student's development. What a waste of money! I hired the 'student painters' to paint the trim on the exterior of my house, my back deck, the walls and ceiling of my screened-in porch and the interior hallway of my staircase. This was all last summer. First, once I agreed to hire them, I wasn't able to secure an appointment until almost six weeks later. It rained for several days during the scheduled time but since their time was so tight, they elected to paint the exterior despite the rain. Obviously this was not a wise decision. Second, it turns out that their idea of 'trim' didn't include the trim around the windows of the house-which incidentally I have a relatively small house. It's only 1600 square feet. There are not that many windows. But consequently I now have a home with the trims that do not completely match. I will have to hire someone this summer to rectify. Third, there is already much mildew on the ceiling of the screened in porch which I will repaint myself. Fourth, the hallway inside. Turns out this was an especially challenging task for the student team. As a matter of fact, the team basically disbanded one by one until only the manager of the crew was left to finish the job. To begin, their plan was to simply paint over nail holes and any uneven spots. When I pointed this out to the young fellow who began the job he said he had never heard that one should first cover the hole with putty and sand. Since he didn't have the putty or know-how and the manager of the project wasn't present that day nor was I able to track him down, I did it myself using my own putty. I did the sanding and buffing myself, sending the youngster home for the day. I also lost another day at work. I should say that during the first couple of days that the crew was working, I was attempting to be a decent host. I bought pizza and soda for the kids. As the days dragged out though due to rain and the aforementioned hiccups in ability to properly perform a paint job, the crew size diminished. Overall they were unprofessional, loutish, smoked and left cigarette butts all over my yard; and they 'cleaned' their brushes leaving splatter against my back fence and trees. I kept trying to be kind and patient since generally speaking they weren't wholly negligent or mean-spirited; they just seemed clueless and inexperienced. And frankly they all lost interest halfway through the job and simply drifted away, clearly unburdened by any responsibility to thoroughly complete the job to the customer's satisfaction. Save yourself money and aggravation. Use a professional organization that will be accountable for a completed job well done. DO NOT HIRE STUDENT PAINTERS.
