She handled both events professionally and with a great eye for framing, lighting and spontaneity. Richel Lavette is the consummate professional photographer. Her skill set includes image set up, proper lighting, images that tell a story, taking charge of large group photos with incredible tact, and looking for the small details that make a good image even better. Bay photo price online is $220.00 ( FYI: you do not need to be a photographer to order from Bay Photo) That is a $760.00 PROFIT on just one! Because I called her out she lowered price to $406.04 but then proceeded to raise the price on the others. She quoted 75.00 each but when invoiced I was charged 84.00 Each. Again you can buy these yourself online at Bay Photo for 22.00 each. But Maria will not release your pictures to you! It's insane! I have found out since then that there are many amazing photographers in Clearwater Florida who do photos at Honeymoon Island and their price of $375.00-450.00 INCLUDES ALL YOUR HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES!!!!! Her assistant Abby was in contact with me the whole time by email and responded promptly. She has a sweet little studio out in Westchase. I think the only downside is the lack of natural light in the studio space. She does well with natural light as seen in her on location shoots. It would be nice to see how she could use it in her studio space. She had little outfits and hairpieces already styled, and I was absolutely thrilled with the fresh flowers surrounding the bath. She and her assistant were fantastic in ensuring Skylar would sit up well on her own and in getting her to look. I know how it can be with photographers where they don't want mom or dad calling their kid because they won't look at the camera, so I stayed quiet. It was apparent near the end that I could have been helping, I wish she told me in the beginning that it was okay to get Skylar's attention in that way because I think we would have gotten more facial expressions from her that way. I had my gallery in two weeks' time and the images were incredible. She did a sneak peek just later that day, and it was so perfect I was in tears. I would definitely consider Kelly for a future newborn session should I need one!
