I felt inclined to leave a review because I would hate for anyone in the future looking to relieve…read moretheir pain by coming to this facility. This place has one of the most unethical medical practices I've ever experienced. I really hope they are reported to the board for medical malpractice. The PT did not do any sort of exam on me to test functionality or range of motion. They immediately put me on stim, then had me do generic shoulder exercises for months. Then they will try to run up your insurance and exploit you by signing you up for "pain management" doctors without your consent. The "pain management" doctors will push lidocaine spray on you, then later will suggest you get lidocaine shots 2-3 times a week. That's absolutely insane. They're not resolving any issues with pain by finding the source. They are only hiding the symptoms. I was never met with any other professional doctor about my treatment plan or even a release date, other than a "pain management" doctor who just kept pushing lidocaine shots onto me. I am not getting lidocaine shots all over 2-3 times a week. Absolutely insane. I immediately changed PTs after this uncomfortable experience where I was pushed to get lidocaine shots just to run my insurance. I kept telling them my left shoulder was the main problem but the pain has transferred to my right shoulder because my right shoulder has been trying to overcompensate for it. Not a single thing was listened to, they asked me to get a MRI on my right shoulder. I kept telling them I need a MRI on both. Once again requests have been ignored. I decided to go with another company after this incident, Hands of Hope is terrible. My current new PT immediately found that I had an inflamed joint in my shoulder which was stated that it was glaringly obvious to any medical practitioner in this field. They saw it immediately when checking my range of motion even without a MRI. They were shocked I've been going to PT this long and not a single doctor had said anything to me about it. My current PT has an actual treatment plan and estimated release date. My estimated release date is one to three months. They told me no PT should have kept me that long, like when I went to Hands of Hope. This entire situation has had me reflect on how crooked our medical practices have become in this country. This place is the prime example of pushing patients on drugs and never finding a solution so that the patient continues to return. This place should be known as Hands of Greed.

Thank you Vrutika, Shreeya and Chaitali for doing a phenomenal job of helping me with my needs…read more Because of you I'm doing much better than before. Your patience and professionalism is what makes me excited to come to therapy. Jean Pierre

I've had an amazing experience at Spear. I originally came to SPEAR for a hairline fracture and…read moreworked with physical therapist, Laura, who was incredibly helpful throughout my recovery journey and I healed much faster than expected. Now I'm working with Brooke to help with my knee pain as an athlete it's been present my whole life and the difference has been immediate and noticeable. The ENTIRE staff is welcoming, supportive, and knowledgeable, which makes every visit a positive experience. My whole family has come here for different injuries over the years, and we've all received excellent care. We'll definitely continue coming back because the service is truly outstanding. I highly recommend Spears PT to anyone looking for excellent physical therapy. (and great music)

This is a "PT mill" where I was injured (rather seriously) by two PTs at this location. The Spear…read morePTs are guided by the Spear-branded algorithms and apps rather than having the in-depth knowledge of bodies, injuries, personal history and anatomy of the person being treated. The PTs were very nice people, but watch out if you are older than a 20-something and have an actual physical/medical/rehabilitative issue rather than a superficial sports injury. Unfortunately the field has been over-run by these PT mills catering to sports injuries, rather than actual rehabilitative physical therapy. I've had to see several doctors, an orthopedic surgeon and am now seeing a real PT. The only positive thing I can say is that space is nice, and all the PTs are hip and smile a lot when they are not looking at their phone or computer.

When I first went to Dr. Naika for a session, I was in the midst of a panic attack and had figured…read morewhy not try acupuncture since I heard it could help. I had little to no expectations but knew I was afraid of needles so I did my best to communicate that in between my breaths. Naika was very good about soothing my nerves as she explained what she would be doing and offered that if at any point I was nervous or uncomfortable to let her know and we could stop. Though this could be taken for granted as standard practice, she has a way of being so present with her assessments and observations, that you can tell it goes beyond the acupuncture. Our session was a quick one, yet the healing went beyond. I felt relaxed and held in ways that I hadn't in a very long time. I've gone to Naika for quite some time now and I am so constantly humbled at knowing and being graced by such a gentle and thoughtful healer. When in her care you can tell that she is so genuine and passionate about her work, that you are inherently safe. You know she is taking the time to hear all of your concerns, and you know that you will be treated promptly. Even the way she actively listens during initial check-ins with her infamous and nonintrusive, "Mms!" If you're considering acupuncture at all, definitely prioritize your healing and book a session with Dr. Naika!!

I've noticed the effectiveness of the treatments increase with each visit. Her office is a sanctuary beautifully appointed with rich and indulgent textures and decadent smells. I feel like I am transported to a tranquil oasis every visit. It has really become the highlight of my week. She makes a mean cup of yea and will explain the properties of the blend if you decide to indulge in a cup. She makes each treatment feel like a getaway and an I leave refreshed and renewed each time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone but especially other women of color who need a practitioner that they know SEES them, she is a true GEM!
