I was also not looking forward to the elaborate fields in Turbo tax having to do with Home-ownership. For a standard return, Clinton didn't charge me very much more than Turbo tax would, and of course Turbo tax doesn't offer friendly conversation or Tax Advice. Three years ago I was attempting to file my taxes via turbotax. My husband and I had recently gotten married and we also had a ton of random forms. TurboTax said we owed over $2000. I was almost in tears because I knew we couldn't afford that. I went into H&R on a whim. I was desperate. I was introduced to George, and he seamlessly handled all of my paperwork and ensured my husband and I got a refund. Now, I work in education and I was feeling discouraged that day... about the state of my job, student loans, etc. George reassured me it would get better. He said he looked forward to seeing me in 2018 and hearing about the progress my husband and I would make. Of course, I returned last year. He helped once again! Looking at all of the numbers was daunting (i.e. student loan interest) and I was thinking aloud about my debt worries. He turned away from his computer and showed me some numbers and said, "you guys are still better off than you were last year. One step at a time." It doesn't sound like much, but he was so reassuring. I made an appointment with him for tomorrow, and honestly, I've been looking forward to this for weeks. I mean, who gets excited about seeing a CPA?! I do. George is a rarity; he's great with numbers and he's also great with people. Money can make us feel vulnerable. If you need help with your taxes or finances, I highly recommend seeing George.

On top that it was a hurried tax file process: No introduction when we sat and no room to clarify our concerns at the end. We left the office unsatisfied and with much dilemmas. However, after we got back; I looked into the reviews of the firm and was not much surprised from the responses provided which we also got to experience in person. I emailed a question which I never heard back which led me to consult another tax consultant. The major disappointment occurred when my wife called regarding the return we were expecting. Could not expect anything worse for the day with zero people skill. That would be our first and last visit to the firm.
