No charge the Native Americans requested that the facility be made available for all. There is a small rough built with rocks at the river with a little beach that's also available. If you're a "don't hurt me" person, don't go in either the river or the facility. You can simply plop into the river if you'd like. Nature will heat you quickly. Get out before you think you need to do so-- I'm not kidding. Temps vary a lot and you could get literally cooked. Generally it's just really good but use your body as a guide to safety. There is high mineral content to the water. Most positions in the main area are a minimum of 102F, and that base can go higher. There is plenty of parking. The shower house is not unlike a prison facility without bars, no toilet seat lids (stainless steel stools) or any real privacy, if you need that. The showers and sink work, and were clean each time I visited. These are *not* deluxe facilities.. Outside that facility, you must be clothed in something; the locals use swimsuits. There are lockers to store your gear; bring your own padlock. Stuff is pretty safe otherwise. Saratoga is a small town, and street crime seems zero. I've been here several times. The town could upgrade the facility, but it's free and not a revenue producer. The adjacent municipal pool is good and has varying hours/programs/costs. The facility is about a 3 star. But the two hot springs + the North Platte River "sitz" are some of the best you'll find-- and are free. The area has a lot of charm. It's worth a side trip from I-80 or Medicine Bow.

We picked it mainly because you don't need tire chains or spikes to get there like you do with some of the other hot springs that are icy and hard to access. Huge plus. This hot spring is right in downtown Steamboat, basically on Main Street (or very close to it), and it's part of UCHealth. Super easy to find and very convenient. They have about six or seven different hot spring pools, all at different temperatures. The hottest pool the day we went was around 102-105 degrees, which felt amazing. I tried two pools: the hottest one and the large main pool with a bridge going over it, and I absolutely loved both. The water felt incredible, and when I got out, my skin felt so good. They even have a rock-climbing feature in one of the hot pools, which was a fun and unique touch--climbing while soaking was something I didn't expect but really enjoyed. They also have two water slides, which were pretty cool. It's $7 per slide per ride, so not included in admission, but still fun if you want to add something extra. Admission was about $35, and they do offer a military discount, which I appreciated. The facility itself was great--clean changing rooms, free lockers, a small café, and lifeguards on duty. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Overall, this was an excellent experience and a great way to relax in Steamboat Springs without dealing with sketchy winter driving. I would absolutely come back and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It's very family friendly, and a great place to hang with friends, or by yourself. It can get a bit crowded, and finding a chair to keep your towels may be difficult, but it depends on the time. Overall, we had a great time here!

Amazing public pool…read more We went most recently for the hot springs day and it was an incredible time. They had a ramen food truck (which was fine) and free coffee and hot cocoa. We have also been here as a family during the summer and the pool is lovely. You would want to come early and get a nice shady spot because they will be taken up fast. My kiddo had to do a swimming test to use the diving board in the summer and she failed both times so she had to stay in the larger shallower end of the pool. I appreciated their dedication to safety.

We went on a hike first then decided to come here after. We didn't realize it closed so early on a Saturday, we should have checked. We got there at 4:30, so only had a little to be there. Also looking at prices on this yelp, they have gone up significantly. I see people complaining about $10 a few years ago. It was $25 per adult this time. That was crazy to me, but we had already made this plan and had driven 45 minutes for this, plus it's in the vacation budget. If I lived here I would not come back because of that price. Also if you don't have a towel, they cost $20. This place is beautiful and I loved my time here, it will be a great memory, but that price is crazy. If I come back to Denver I may look for another place that may be like this.
