Back in March, a friend who lives in Buttonwillow CA, lost her rescue dog/companion of many many years. As one can imagine, she was completely devastated, so I wanted to try to do a little something to brighten her day in any way I could. I searched online for several days before Sun Country Flowers came up in my search engine. I was almost about to give up because I was finding very over-priced arrangements elsewhere, but mainly the establishments did not deliver to Buttonwillow. Just as I was losing hope, I went ahead & tried placing an online order (for same day delivery) with Sun Country Flowers. My phone rang a short while after I placed the order which I figured was them telling me they wouldn't be able to help me, yet again. To my surprise, the nice lady on the other end of the line called to inform me that they just didn't have all the colors as pictured online but asked if it would be okay if they could swap a few out & replace them with the other colors. I almost was jumping for joy as we spoke! I told her that would be perfectly fine & I expressed how completely grateful I felt to finally find a place that actually delivers to my friends area because I had been getting the runaround for several days & was so happy I came across their shop!! It truly was my last hope & I really did not want to give up. I can't remember her name but the woman told me she was the new owner & gave me a little background of the store & told me the areas they service there & also pointed out it's best, whenever possible, to use these local flower shops over the 1-800's as they just use the local flower shops anyhow... So the order was in progress but I realized later that I wasn't 100% certain that my friend was going to be home at the time of delivery so I called back & asked, if not too much trouble, could they maybe text me when the delivery was made. The owner said she would have her delivery person call her & that she would call me as soon as the flowers were delivered. And she did just that! Wonderful experience dealing with this flower shop!! In the end they had 2 very happy customers!!! :-) Highly recommend giving this place a try...

Quickly found that the last billiard store in town had recently closed so found myself scrambling to find someone to move the table. I requested a quote from what appears to be a local business, but found out it is only a scheduling company that ends up hiring Kickin Billiard services to handle the move and they charge over 2x the amount quoted by Kickin Billiards. I called Kicking Billiards and didn't get an answer, but was promptly called back and advised he had missed the call. Spoke with the owner Derrick, after a few questions I felt comfortable hiring him for the move. He was very flexible and very prompt with returning texts. I finalized the move time/date with the seller and communicated this to Derrick and he showed up about 5 mins early. Derrick and his helper had the table broken down and loaded up within 20 minutes and he was on his way to my house. They took about an hour to get the table all reassembled, leveled, and looking sharp. Well worth the money. Great communication, price, and service. If you need somebody to move a pool table this is the guy.

But then, in the midst of all the insanity, you meet someone who reminds you why you once loved this time of year. Enter: the Tree Whisperer. We have been going to Frosty's for years now. The first year we got a tree from their lot, we told the owner exactly what we were looking for and he ran to the back, pulled out a wrapped-up tree from the bottom of the pile, sliced off the netting, and presented us with the perfect tree. We started calling him the Tree Whisperer because he seems to have a connection to every tree he sells. Their inventory is stocked full of perfectly shaped, fresh, green, fragrant trees. If you buy from anywhere else, you'll be paying for half-dead pieces of garbage. Go see my friends at Frosty's and I promise, you won't regret it!
