Today you have to wait 7 days to get paid as in a gift card, it's all bc after the pandemic WTF? what does getting paid on the spot have to do with the Covid pandemic LOL.They want you to do a stupid homework, the traffic is terrible in that area. They only let you do a focus group every few years just to get $100 to $200 for a few hours which in today's dollar value and inflation ain't worth it.I got better things to do in my life instead of this crap. read more

I've been doing research with Adept for a long time now. I hadn't been to this location in a while thought, it was nice to be back. Adept offers and easy and fun way to make some extra money. However, at least for me, the consistency has never been there. I normally don't get to do too many researches per year, maybe just a handful. I used to have good things to say when the company was Adept Research but since Jackson Associates took over it's gone completely downhill. The biggest complaint is the screening process, which in my opinion is dishonest. In essence, the screening process provides the data the client is looking for, and after answering several questions you are told that you don't qualify. I now delete all emails from the company. read more

Today I was told my card expired and I should have read the small print before I took it off the sheet.. Who reads this? I just asked to be paid the value od the card and I was told it out of there hands. I called the card company and was told the value was still on the card.. I then called a VP at the company and was told there is nothing he could do.. I informed him of the 2009 Gift Card Law that cards cannot expire and he told to use whatever remedy I had to use. I said then you want me to sue you in small claims court over the money that is owed me and he said yes. We'll I guess it will be fun to see them pay the Marshall fees etc on top of what is owed. all I want was the original amount, the the card company said is still on the card, but because of the expiration date cannot be used JUDGE JUDY this would be a fun one to show on TV, I think my next email is to them read more

I will NEVER participate in a market research for Adept Consumer Testing Again. First of all I was screened by someone who must have previously worked for the NSA. I was surprised the booking agent for Adept stopped short of asking for a fecal sample from me. Next I was told I would receive $150 for my time, and there started the lies, they only paid me $125. Next, I was never told I would be paid in the form of some "PAIN IN THE ASS" Debit Card. Not only does this card have an expiration date, but you will need an accountant to keep track of what is left on the card. If you don't keep track you will never know how much you can charge. If your charge is more than the total left on card it is DECLINED. So have fun trying to guess what you have left on your card while at lunch with your client. Last but not least, they kept us almost 20 minutes over, if you add that to the 20-25 minutes early they insist you come, your 1 1/2 hour for $125 on a debit "PAIN IN THE ASS" card is now like 2 1/2 hours. If you're looking for a way to make some quick and easy cash then this places for you. It's a focus research group which means you sign up online and get these surveys that you fill out and with the surveys you can make quick cash. The surveys usually take five or 10 minutes to fill out and once you're done if you're selected the recruiter calls to confirm your answers and responses and books you. Sometimes they give you cash and sometimes they give you Visa cards. Either way for 1-2 hours your time you'll have cash in hand. That's at least $50 an hour and I don't know about you but I don't know many people who make more than $50 an hour. I'll continue doing these things just for the fun of it because they're simple and easy and quick easy cash. I highly recommend it for anyone :) read more

Did an online survey for $75, check took forever and was made out to the wrong name. Not misspelled, but made out to Andrew instead of Alexander. I mailed the check back to get a new one, waited two weeks, and my new check has my last name spelled wrong after I clearly WROTE IT IN THE LETTER. They were once FABULOUS, but it's been a long time since they resembled that remark. They call you 2-6 times before the group, then have you wait 45 before the study- not a fan of the giftcards, they do expire without a pin #,you cannot use them everywhere, so make sure you check them before you accept them! This used to be a classy,fun way to make a little extra cash, but not anymore. Now, it's a low budget cattle-call in Hollywood. this is a horrible company to have anything to do with!! they hMyave changed so much since the 90's when i first worked with them as a respondant. I once went to a study with them and there was no food at all, just water and coffee, and this was a evening study at that. My boyfriend was recruited for a alcohol study and was told for the first group he didnt qualify and that there was a opening on the following week, so he went and when he got there the people up front at the desk didnt see his name written down. Now i saw a email for the date he was supposed to arrive and i couldnt open it to get the recruiter's name but nevertheless my boyfriend showed up promptly at 5:00 pm to be early. Well as i stated he was told that his name wasnt on the list, and the people asked him who was the recruiter and of course who remembers that information they have at least probably on rotation at least 10 of them. So the receptionists gave my boyfriend a card saying he could call the supervisor and take it up with her. Her name is Leah and she is eextremely nasty and rude and could give a damn if someone under her makes a mistake and inconveinces a respondant with time wasted and everything else. She offers no help but says basically in a nutshell its my boyfriends fault and all she was going to do was offer him compensation as whatever it costs him to get from home and to their office which would have been nothing other than maybe 6 dollars at the most because he took the bus the whole way. So i offered to speak to this woman and she was rude to me and later hung up in my face and now im really pissed off becuase this company is never supposed to act this way EVER!! plus they have the nerve to offer a refferal form to get you to get other people to sign up with them. THEY ARE S.O.B.'s up there and i know that director of whoever she is is on somebody's shit list and her name is Leah. read more

Avoid this place. Don't waste your time. I had done several interviews with them in the past and they were excellent. I recently was asked by them to do an interview at their Beverly Hills office for an hour. I arrived on time, only to find out that they had switched the location to the campus of USC Medical Center. They couldn't understand why I wasn't emailed the location change. They apologized for the "confusion" but never owned up to their mistake. I did not have time to cross town and do the interview and waste the rest of my day. I am a busy professional and already spent a significant amount of time just getting to and from the Beverly Hills office. When I insisted that I still be compensated for my time since the mistake was theirs, they tried to blame me for the mistake and offered me a fraction of the initial stipend. I told them to shove it. Reading through some of these comments I have to laugh about them. I've been doing groups with this place for years! Loved the cash/checks but the Cards now are great too. I just buy something I like. I've never had an issue with any of the staff even when I came here when I wasn't suppose to. Again this place is by far one of the best places I've been too. I have no idea how people are giving them such low ratings. Be assured that while the few people on here actually reviewing Adept had bad experiences, there are hundreds if not 1000+ of people DAILY who have excellent experiences with them. I've done focus groups with them once or twice a year for the past decade and have always had a good time. It's super easy money. Yes, it comes in a VISA gift card. Sorry it's not cash. You don't need an accountant, just a calculator and your receipts, to figure out what is left on your card. Just put in a tiny amount of work and you're good to go on that end. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I've also had numerous times where I've gone in for a focus group to find out they overbooked and were sending some of us home, AFTER being paid. Most of the people leaving bad reviews on here are choosy-ass beggars. Just be a normal person with realistic expectations and you'll be fine. They're very professional. read more
