Pizza was very good, the large is very large and the topping are very generously spread. Being a lake visitor I was surprised to find the pizza kitchen was in the full service gas station/market at the Alton rotary. The station/market is very clean and well maintained, not a deterrent to going there again. read more

3.5-4 start depending on the day! Jack's Pizza is a hidden gem! It is inside of a gas station, and one of our favorite places to come and get a quick bite to eat. We tried the broccoli chicken pizza and made our own with sausage, peppers and onions. The broccoli chicken pizza was good, but a little bit on the drier side! The customer service was incredible! They are super kind and helpful. When you order they give you a ticket to go to the other side of the store to pay! Then you come back with a receipt and they will give you your pizza. The prices are pretty reasonable! There aren't any tables to eat at inside that I recall but there are some restrooms in the gas station. It's definitely more of a takeout type of place! I was there picking up, and the phone was ringing consistently! They stay busy and think I would come back. read more

Dependable menu after all these years. Better of the two options in Alton for pizza lovers. Shut down way too early in the evenings though ... maybe that's a labor thing, maybe it's not good to run that kind of business in a service station at night, I don't know. Pizza here is best in the area, great crust and sauce - diverse toppings and quick service!! I love how convenient and easy this takeout is as well as it's in a full supply gas station which has lots of other options if you need minor groceries!! Entry #9 on the Let's Get Take-Out on the Way Home from Work on Friday! I have never been a fan of pizza, but sometimes I get a hankering for one. I decided to give Jack's Pizza a try. I am going to overlook the fact that this place is inside a gas station that is partially under construction. I thought of holding back on a star, because of it, but no... the pizza was just that good. The website is a little hard to navigate, but once you get to the fun-looking menu, all is forgotten. As someone who works with graphic artists, I must say, the Jack's Alton Pizza menu is a thing of beauty. It is so adorable and fun. Great colors and such a happy vibe. I loved it! The guys who made my pizza also seemed as fun-loving as the menu, singing to me when I placed my order and just turning the good cheer up to 11 when I went to pick up my order. And... the pizza! I ordered the BBQ Kabob Pizza, which is pretty non-traditional. I actually got the same pizza for the first time in Banff in 2004 when I was backpacking through the Canadian Rockies. The flavor of BBQ chicken and pineapple is stupendous (and I am someone who hates "Hawaiian" Pizza. Gross!) and Jack's Pizza hit the spot! The tangy BBQ sauce and the crispy bits of chicken with the sweet pineapple.... I ate half the pizza in one go. And the crust was... *chef's kiss*. Crispy and cooked to perfection in the middle and tasty and tender dough at the edge. One of the best pizza crusts I have encountered. I think it was helped along by that weird lil' metallic (?) thingy that the pizza sits on inside the box. That makes me believe that Jack's is willing to go the extra mile to produce a tasty pie. I will be back to Jack's for sure, although I hope the remodeling is complete by then! read more

Jacks pizza is one of my favorite pizza places around here. Really tasty pizza and everything else I've tried is great too. Reccomend!

I've ordered from them a few times by phone and by online order. My orders have been correct every single time. My only negative thought is that I have to pay for my order through the gas station and not their counter but really that's it. I love their pizzas and definitely recommend the Mediterranean. They also do a good plain cheese pizza with decent size slices and yummy crisp crust. read more

It's been a while since leaving a negative review for Jack's pizza Alton. We have since that time have ordered as many as eight times and can honestly say that it's the best around! Glad to have really great pizza so close to home! My kids are spending the summer and I refer to my oldest (lovingly of course) as a pizza snob and he has given it five stars! I've been eating Jacks for years. While working in Pittsfield we'd get takeout all the time. I always loved the fries, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Yummm. Pizza was always meh. Then we moved to Alton and I bring home delicious tasty thinnish crust slices all the time! Pizza is good!! Chicken bacon ranch is s standout. While the pizza may be great the people working the place in Alton are awful! The worst attitudes I have ever experienced, went in on a Friday night to order multiple pizzas at 5:45pm and the young girl told me they weren't taking anymore orders, with an attitude.
