Pizza here is best in the area, great crust and sauce - diverse toppings and quick service!! I love how convenient and easy this takeout is as well as it's in a full supply gas station which has lots of other options if you need minor groceries!! Always clean and bright, the space is well kept and the people are super nice!! Check it out if you haven't!

The best pizza at a gas station and it beats all pizza shop pizzas. Must try the Mediterranean with garlic oil, unbelievable.

Bun 'N Bowl is right next to Ackerly's Grill & Galley, just five minutes from Alton Bay, where you'll find the newly opened Pub 23 (formerly Dockside Restaurant), Shipley's at the Pier (open year-round), two seasonal spots: Pop's Clam Shack, and Shibley's Drive-In--a takeout-style clam shack. But here's the thing: the fresh fried Icelandic haddock, shrimp, whole belly clams, sea scallops, and more at Bun 'N Bowl blow them all out of the water. For years, my go-to seasonal place was Pop's Clam Shack. The last few years, the quality has gone downhill--overcooked food, very dry haddock, and last summer I was served clam strips that were basically just crunchy batter. I returned them, and while they did make a new batch, the wait was long, as usual. Strangely enough, the haddock at Pub 23 (run by the same folks) is far better. So it's not about the name--it's about who's in the kitchen. At Bun 'N Bowl, the fish is always perfectly cooked: moist, flaky, with a light, golden-brown batter. The jumbo fried shrimp are awesome, and they offer baby shrimp too. They also serve a full menu of subs--my personal favorites are the pepper steak with onions and the roast beef. You'll find rice bowls, delicious clam chowder, and rotating soups, all made fresh. Their daily specials are worth checking out, and every so often they'll surprise you with something like General Tso's Chicken that rivals any Chinese restaurant. You can find them on Facebook under *Karen's Bun 'N Bowl*, where they post their specials. I highly recommend giving them a try--you won't be disappointed.

She said "you are responsible for knowing your own allergens". I said that I know what they are and pointed to the sign instructing me to share them. Note to allergy people: they fry everything in the same fryer including wheat and seafood. They are willing to clean the area if you are very sensitive. They seem to think intolerance isn't as severe as allergies so celiac folks may not feel comfortable here. I ordered the Italian gluten free wrap. I was disappointed that it was entirely ham with one slice of salami (see photo). So it just tasted like a ham sandwich. For the price, I did expect more Italian meats. It tasted alright. My boyfriend got the French dip and said it was alright.

Ample parking in the lot next door and across the street. It took a little longer than I anticipated for the order to come out, but that's OK. We were enjoying the vibe. I made a mistake in ordering the other day, I figured might help you. Normally I get a plain cheese, or pepperoni pizza. Simple and perfect every time. Great cheese to sauce ratio ... cheese that extends all the way to the crust ... and the sauce is not that overly sugary cheap crap a lot of Greek-style pizza joints use. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken the other day, which was a huge (and expensive) disappointment. None of us liked it ... it was dry, bland and salty at the same time ... and just not what we would expect from Tilton House of Pizza. There were 3 guys eating a large pizza (which is hearty and large!) and there was leftover, which nobody wanted to take. (unheard of!) The problem seems to be that this pizza is dried out chicken tenders (in fairness, you get a LOT of dried out chicken tenders) which are brushed with buffalo sauce. The pizza itself has no tomato sauce on it!! No blue cheese dressing, as far as we could tell. It was simply cheese, cut up chicken tenders and crust. Zero taste, except for the salt. They give you an average cup of RANCH??? dressing for dipping, which indicates that they know there is an issue with this pizza. I refuse to give anything lower than 4 stars to this place ... because the cheese and pepperoni, I know are amazing. However, I'd say that it was wasted calories to eat this pizza as the Buffalo Chicken recipe needs reworking. The tomato sauce is essential ... or at least tomato sauce mixed with buffalo sauce, or even blue cheese. I will still go 20 - 30 minutes out of my way to get Tilton House of Pizza every time ... just will never get this buffalo chicken pizza again. Make sure you order ahead of time ... like WAAAAY ahead of time. It took 1.5 hours on a Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. from order until pickup. That's crazy! Even at 4 p.m. on a Thursday, the wait was 40 minutes on a phone in order.

We liked the fact that some apps could be ordered by the piece (coconut shrimp, lobster rangoon), so you could mix or match or scale up or down based on your party size and appetite. I ordered a turkey gobbler wrap, which seemed a little off the trail as it is usually served as a sandwich, and had ingredients like hot peppers. Overall good, but I think better with bread. The coconut shrimp starter was very good and the twist here is that it was served with a coconut creme sauce, rather than the traditional orange marmalade. A nice spot for lunch with a view, and we would stop in again when in Alton Bay

I live on the West Coast and i haven't had an East Coast calzone in many years so I decided to order a calzone with sausage, meatball, and american cheese as well as eat a few of the chicken strips on the side my Mom said were fantastic. I didn't get to visit the restaurant in person, but my family called ahead, ordered, and picked it up when it was done. When the food arrived, I opened the box and saw a pretty darn good sized calzone in a box that looked really, really, really freaking good and was done in a way I haven't seen either. I was surprised with the size of the calzone, but extremely disappointed with the lack of sauce provided to put on side of the calzone (luckily, My mother saved the day and provided some sauce for me to poor on top of the calzone). The sausage and meatball were both absolutely delicious, as well as the dough it was all wrapped in. The dough was on the soft side and very good, while the mozzarella cheese was cooked to perfection as well, basically, it was a top notch delicious calzone. Overall, Georgina's Pizzeria was a pleasant surprise and a fantastic place to get a calzone. I really liked the calzone and the chicken fingers were great as well (forget to write about that above). I'll definitely be in the area again and I'll definitely be indulging in some Georgina's Pizzeria in the future too.

We don't have much, but now we have a country store AND a new bar to hangout at. It's literally maybe a 3-minute drive for us from our house. The parking is limited, but we were told it's okay to park across the street at the church. We haven't had to do that, but there are nights when the spaces are full. Because of COVID & other things, it seemed to take FOREVER for them to get their permits & to be open. This was originally just a country store, but they did a great job converting it into a "half" restaurant with a very large, U-shaped bar. Lots of wood & your typical bar flair. What I love is that they left the "Meat Dept" sign hanging. I actually miss stopping in to get some of the freshest, best priced chicken & steak, but oh well. The menu isn't very expansive, with lots of subs/sandwiches. The appetizers are nothing special, but greasy & good if that's what you're after. The pizza is good, pretty typical. They offer beer & wine for spirits. Some beer on tap & then others in bottles or cans. They also have some spiked seltzers in cans available. The staff is very laid back & the owners are usually ALWAYS there. They work a lot! There's a sliding barn door that goes into what's left of the store that they kept which is primarily fridges with beer, some shelves with bread & even bloody mary mix (random!) & other stuff that I haven't looked at. They have an ATM that works when it wants to.
