He has been coming here over a year and we have nothing but great things to say about this shop and the girls who work in it. And she gives honest opinions based on her years of experience, which I love! I know that when I go to her and ask about a certain cut, color, or style, she will flat out tell me whether it will work or not based on my lifestyle, occupation, time I spend on my hair every day, and face shape. Love love LOVE this place!!!! Janet told me the story one day of the name... she wanted to build a place for people who had had bad experiences with other stylists. Stylists who always did what the customer wanted regardless of what they knew the (poor) outcome would be. She wanted a place where people could get honest opinions, a refuge: The Asylum.

I called from an appointment, and was told that they had only one stylist who was accepting new clients.? So, I made an appointment with that stylist. It was easy to see that she was new. I mentioned having gone to Great Clips in this area prior to that visit, mostly because I'm not from here, and was telling her how I disliked the extremely short period of time they took with each customer, etc. I received a below-average cut there, but went back once more. I felt like I was given virtually no time, a lousy cut, and shoved out the door. Ugh. I never returned, and now drive almost an hour to a decent Salon. Good luck to anyone trying to get a great cut, style, blow out, etc anywhere near this area! For certain, if you do, it won't be here.

This is a husband and wife owned shop. Tom took off a old set of acrylics. He filed soaked, filed and soaked. He didn't just pop them off like other places, I have gone to in California. He had done such a wonderful job, my actual nails under neath looked great, so instead of getting a new set of tips, I got an acrylic overlay on my nails and gel polish it cost $55. $10 to take off old set of nails and $45 for new. Tomorrow will be week 2 and they look great still. I made an appt. in advance for next time. While I was there. Mya did 2 pedicures and both ladies seemed very happy. I'm shocked someone would give them a 1 star for turning them away. I would much rather have amazing clean service, than to be told to wait while other clients are rushed out. I highly recommend you make an appointment show up on time and you will love them both!
