What a great experience. I had a lot of tree trimming done. This crew comes to work and doesn't stop until you give them a thumbs up. In my case I felt they exceeded my expectations after a few hours. They came with 4 trucks and a bunch of equipment to get the job done. The trimmers were perfectionist. The price they gave me was very reasonable! I will always use this company when ever I need tree work done! Going into the winter now I'm going to rake a lot less trees. I don't know about some of these negative reviews. Based on experience I don't think they are valid we used TreecI when we first moved here. The first time was a good experience, expensive but we felt good about it. The second time was not a good experience. Will not go into the details but was told about Jack Wrights tree service and we will call no one else. Yes they are slow to get you sometimes as they are extremely busy, but I guarantee you, you will be treated with total respect from the crew, which is more than I can say about Treeco. In total we paid Treeco an enormous about of money, and they did not even clean up the stump grinding mess, Jack Wrights crew finished grinding some of the stumps that Treeco didn't grind deep enough as it was hided from the mess they left. Also Jack Wrights did not charge extra to help me clean up the lack lister Job Treeco did. Now Treeco is owned by someone different so I don't know what they are like now, but no matter, call Jack Wrights as you will pay a fair price for an excellent job. read more

First off, if your need is of an urgent one, then don't even bother with this company because they are super busy, so it will not be an immediate response. However, whenever they do get to you, you will be beyond thrilled and satisfied! There is no other Tree Service company that can compete with these guys from their customer service to their very friendly and professional work ethic. The entire team is beyond nice and professional, and these guys clean up every area they work in. When they left my house, my neighbors thought I had landscaped my yard. They couldn't figure out exactly what I had done because my yard is absolutely gorgeous! Working with JWTS has been one of the best experiences I have ever had! This is truly one of the best companies in Saint Augustine, everyone from Kim in the office who is as sweet as pie, to Bruce, one of the owners who is so nice and has the best prices around town and beyond, to the crew that never stopped smiling! Took two weeks to get an estimate, didn't call when he missed the first scheduled appointment, then when I did get one they said it was $300 an hour and would not give a specific amount - not sure why I needed estimate if it's by the hour and couldn't tell me how long it would take. Then scheduled the tree trimming a week ahead of time and they did not show or call . Says he forgot to schedule it. Used to be a great tree service now their customer service is horrible. Follow up. Scheduled another appointment for Tree service. OK I didn't learn the first time shame on me. They canceled again - un friggin believable read more

I called and spoke to them and by the next morning had a reasonable estimate and detailed explanation of what they recommended. Two days later, it was done and they told me to go look at the job and make sure I was satisfied before I paid them! I originally called three "friend" recommended tree trimmers, one called back and wanted me to meet him out there so I could point out what I wanted done (i want my 5 oaks trimmed, and count on the tree guy to guide me, not the other way around) and the third one didn't ever return my call.....Jack Wright was responsive and did a great job!! read more

I've had Jack Wright's Tree Service for years and they always did a good job until last year. They had trimmed my entire yard of oaks in 2015. Several large branches in one of my oaks were flush cut with their saws and they were not taken down. I did not notice until after they turned brown and started to come down and hit other large branches. These branches would have killed one of my neighbor's children (or me) if they happened to fall at the wrong moment. I called Jack Wright's Tree Service and Jack came right out and told me that he could see that the branches had been cut, but never taken down. He promised me that he would be back in a few days to take the branches down. They never showed up to do the work. I called again and spoke with the elder Wright and this went on for weeks, even talking to Jack personally. They just kept saying that they had to schedule me and made false promises. I asked for a specific day and time which they agreed to. and I stayed home from work and lost money to get this done and they NEVER SHOWED UP TO DO THE WORK. After many more calls, Jack finally came back and looked at it again and told me that he thought it was best to also remove one more large branch from my oak while they were at it. I told him that I would pay him for any extra work he did, but I just needed this done. After many months, he has STILL not showed up to do the work. It is now April 2016! I just stopped calling them because I felt like a fool, and they have made it very clear that they are not going to do the work even though they promise they will. This is NO WAY to fun a business!! Over time, one by one, the largest of the branches have crashed to the ground, and over time, I broke them up and hauled them to the road for pickup. I will never hire this company again and I do not recommend that anyone else go through this terrible frustration and humiliation either. read more

Finally showed up after weeks of calling, poor customer service and interface. Do great work but need to seriously fix this problem

They came out to give an estimate and showed up the next day to begin the work before we even confirmed acceptance of their bid. This happened to us twice with Jack Wright Tree Service. On the second job, they charged us extra to remove the stump and roots. We paid them- although, they did not complete the job (stupid on our part because we took them at their word they would be back to finish). Eight calls later, they told us they are coming to finish the job and still have not done so in over a month! Sadly, they have shown that customer service/customer relationships mean nothing to them. They will never get my business or recommendations again! Shop around before you use Jack Wright Tree Services! read more

Awful customer service. My neighbor warned me about making an appt with Jack Wright because he probably wouldn't show up, but I assumed that was a one-time occurrence and called anyway, and made an appt for an estimate at 10am on a Saturday. By 10:30, Mr. Wright had not shown up, so I called the office and was told that he wasn't coming due to an emergency job in Ponte Vedra. No one bothered to call to let me know. I actually had to ask to be re-scheduled to the following Saturday (it wasn't proactively offered). Next Sat, I called just after 10am to confirm Mr. Wright was coming and was told he wasn't. So, basically, Mr. Wright doesn't want my business, nor does he really care about his terrible customer service because he's been in St Augustine forever and will always have jobs lined up. So disappointing. I recommend you call someone else if you actually want someone to show up, perform the work and take your money. read more

Jack's service has removed several large oaks from our property. He is fast, safe and efficient and cleans up the area. If you need "tweaking" (we wanted the stump ground down a little more) - he's back when he says he will be back and does whatever is needed till you are happy with the job.
