I had a whale of a haddock with a small chips and a portion of mushy peas which came included in the price. Crisp batter, fresh fish and well cooked chips - it was a very tasty meal and even with a bottle of Black Sheep to wash it down I struggled to make it to the finish line. B was similarly pleased with her cod supper and also struggled with the portion size. Amazingly fresh and nicer than both trenchers and magpies in my honest opinion. Staff were really friendly and the owner even fried me a small piece of haddock at no extra cost to see which I prefereed. Its only open for lunch on Friday and saturday and not open at all on Sunday and Monday a true sign of a good chippy is when they can choose to open! There is ample seating outside and inside at no extra cost. You just need to find this holy grail of chippys.
