He is a young, strong former football player (so he told me) and he used all his strength to attempt adjust my hip. And now I am miserable. Some days my pain level is unbearable. At first I had great results with Dr. Yuson. One time he adjusted my left leg from the ankle/foot and I had some problems. I told him about it and he chose to adjust my left leg/hip at a location above my knee. That was the beginning of the worst year plus of my life. My knee swelled up and I have had severe pain for over a year. I have spent hours in physical therapy, had x-rays, and MRI and have no relief or solution. What he did will live with me, I guess until I die. The problems have compounded to my left hip and also with my balance, since I now walk with a limp most of the time. In April 2024, my insurance company offered me a trial program to help with knee pain and I have had a small bit of improvement, but I am still in quite a bit of discomfort daily. I have carefully considered whether or not to post this review but after over a year of being in excruciating pain from a few seconds of an adjustment, I don't feel right about someone else going through what I have been going through. It was in a different office not Van Nuys. Was supposed to be a free consult. I was interested in…read morespinal decompression and asked about charges, but they bypassed that and set me in an office with a "salesperson" who told me all the services they do and why they are better than traditional medicine. As time went on Chiropractor came in and told me according to my MRI she was not sure if she could do decompression until I got an MRI (cost $385). I said I am waiting for one through my Medicare coverage but she said it would take a longer time but I said I would consider that before deciding. The additionaocost for decompression at $8-9,000 was not mentioned at the time. They talked about good game and pressured me to sign up for CareCredit which would help me pay for treatments over the next few months. They told me that would be $3,900 and I thought that included the decompression which we could decide on later. When I signed up for Care Credit I could not see the writing on the phone. Explained I did not have my glasses so she took my phone and said she would put in the information to apply for the CREDIT. CARD to cover treatments. I later found out that instead of having me pay for treatments with the Credit Card as I got them, they took the $3,900 out of the credit card account. It also included $1.66 per hundred dollars owed which would start an additional $60 a month. When I called to speak to them their accountant told me she would not cancel the contract unless I paid her over $700 on the spot. I asked why so much and she started running down the services they provided in two sessions. So they were not honest about the costs, the additional decompression or the fact that they were billing me for treatments they had not even provided yet. They also have an additional $1,000 charge for anyone who cancels the contract. I feel they took advantage of a senior citizen, 79 years old, who came in with a walker and in pain and talked a good game. I have filed a complaint with the Care Credit Card thru Synchrony Bank who originally told me they paid that money to Spinatomy I will send them a letter requesting them to resolve this before I take it to the laws and the State Contractors licensing board as well as the attorney general. They are not clear or honest about the costs and I don't feel it is ethical to bill for services not provided, especially since we didn't have a decision about what treatment options would be included over the next few months.

He did a few manual chiropractic adjustments in addition to the CFR and I was impressed with this too - it didn't feel like he just did the same standard list for everyone but really listened to your needs and had specific adjustments for specific situations. While he does use some force it never felt unsafe and it was clear what he was trying to accomplish with each move. The CFR can be an intense experience but helped me tolerate it well and made sure I got as much benefit possible from each of the treatments I did.
