What an awful experience!…read more Staff was rude and inconsiderate. I would recommend an alternative counseling center! The intake 'Professional' was half my age with a pompous attitude, especially after asking if i was applying for their scaled services payment options. After complying with all requirements spelled out ahead of time, they demanded a full copy of my 2025 tax returns. I wouldn't and was asked to leave. Pretty sad when a counseling center turns you away.

In addition to utilizing traditional methods, Dr. Dan also employs EMDR psychotherapy which had amazing results. I had spoken to other therapists in the past, and had achieved some lasting effects, but nothing could have prepared me for the impactful work that we were able to do together in a very short period of time. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first, but after a few sessions, it was truly incredible how much we were able to make progress against some pretty traumatic incidents. Additionally, it should be mentioned that the level of compassion I was treated with was really unmatched. Not only did that help with the therapy, it also guaranteed a high level of trust between the provider and patient. I cannot recommend Dr. Goldstein and the Nashville Psych practice enough. Their high degree of professionalism and the efficacy of treatment is unmatched; and I am eternally gratetful.

Through the 16-week program, which at times I needed more (by spending additional time on certain chapters) to dismantle the grip of lies through fear and trauma, I am in awe of the daily, tangible peace I have now have intimate access to. My stellar counselor, Shannan, was willing to continue those chapters with me to go further in my healing and fight alongside of me for the territory of my heart. In addition to the chapters, the weekly podcasts were practical, at times witty, and richly empowering to listen to John and Beth share from the deep well of their experiences, inviting all to living the abundant life in Christ. I am grateful for Shannan's unwavering encouragement to see the Lord moving in my heart, especially when I was blind to my own growth. Her encouragement and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is a gift! What once held me hostage to grief is now merely a whisper. The road to growth and transformation isn't easy work, but it's the greatest investment we can make for ourselves. Shannan stayed with me faithfully and didn't leave me in the valleys and mountain tops of breakthrough throughout this journey. My husband and I both have completed Rock House. We are blessed to continue in our marriage with new hearts. We are better for it! Our future children will have parents with new hearts. Living with true peace that surpasses understanding is possible. It's never too late. I recommend this house of refuge and transformation to all. Thank you from the bottom of my (new) heart!

I've had several therapists throughout my life and she is, by far, the best one. Also, if you're looking for EMDR therapy she does that, I've tried it, it worked like magic for me! She has a holistic approach to health and I think this gives her the upper hand over other therapists in Nashville. To be clear, I have been to places that were holistic, but had yet to find a board certified and licensed professional who fit the bill.
