We throw it back in your faces by becoming....wait for it...an artist! WABE was known classical music and NPR. I'm also a fan of Terry Gross's Fresh Air. I can't tell you how many times I've been late to an appointment because I stayed in the car listening to some interview that Terry Gross was giving or listening one of NPR Marketplace's segments. For those who may want to know our Yelp fearless leader was recently interviewed on NPR https://www.npr.org/2019/07/16/742386857/yelp-ceo-discusses-his-efforts-to-convince-congress-that-google-is-a-monopoly and he is also featured on their blog "How I built This" https://www.npr.org/2019/06/21/734865142/yelp-jeremy-stoppelman WABE has done so well with running high quality programs that both stimulate the mind while entertaining the masses. Well done guys...Hope you guys will be around forever! Cheers!

However, in that rare instance when I do "tune-in" I'll stop by 90.1 FM ten times out of ten. Sure, I've heard some repeated classical music tracks, but I do enjoy the interviews of fascinating personalities and news coverage on our nation's politics, economy, and culture. My only gripe? WABE could create and market more locally-focused content. I've also experienced WABE in a unique way. The Minnesota affiliate (MPR aka Minnesota Public Radio) wanted to interview me, so in order to conduct the interview I had to use one of WABE's sound booths. I had a pleasant experience working with the audio engineer, and I'll never forget the experience. Also, I also admired the padding in the room since it looked like something out of Space Odyssey. Did I have inklings to throw myself against the walls like a madman in straightjacket? Yes. I love WABE. Now, where can I buy a t-shirt?

Hulk friend let Hulk review today. Sunday Paper makes Hulk ANGRY. Too square to be edgy, too…read moreintown to please squares, Hulk no want to read. Puny syndicated columnists that Sunday Paper print not to Hulk's liking. Hulk gives credit to SP for carrying both "liberal" and "conservative" columnists, but Hulk tired of seeing usual suspects given column inches. Local columnists not much better, with attempts at humor decidedly forced. ARRRRR! Hulk SMASH lame selection! Maybe Hulk not smash puny Sunday Paper. It not fair to hound SP like army always hounding Hulk. Hulk not understand target demo for Sunday Paper. Maybe because Hulk not intown female between ages of 18-35 like Hulk's girlfriend Betty Ross. Hulk ask Betty about Sunday Paper. Maybe she help Hulk understand SP's mix of local articles which somehow manages to be simultaneously tedious and pedantic--like stupid Banner! Hulk HATES puny Banner! Sunday Paper makes Hulk angry and the madder Hulk gets, the STRONGER he gets! ARRRRR!

Oh, how appropriate...it's Sunday…read more I had some hope that this would be a consistantly decent weekly publication when it first came out about 3 or so years ago. I'll admit that while I enjoy Creative Loafing, sometimes it too damn hip for it's own good and I have absolutely no idea about half the subject matter in some issues. It's the journalistic equivalent of a trip to a pretentious record shop. You can also count on CL to lean to the left on almost everything, which I have no problem with. I thought The SP would bring a more fair and balanced(heh) viewpoint on issues that affect Atlantans. Sadly, this paper has turned into not much more than a local tabloid. Here's the formula: Run story on an issue that's loaded with hysteria and has little relevance to the average reader's life and milk it for all it's worth(ex. this week's story on "Hooker School"). Run a weekly story on the same small circle of Atlanta celebrities that are constantly having their ass kissed by local media(Usher, Andre 3000, Ludacris, Jane Fonda, Ted Turner). "Discover" the new trends months after they've become old news in other publications. I will give this pub some credit for at least having a sports section, although it's not particularly thorough. I will agree that this paper does have an identity crisis. It wants to appeal to the trendy and fashionable while at the same time cover local issues. I will say that it fails miserably in presenting issues that matter to Atlantans in an in-depth way. Whatever news story that has the most shock value, as opposed to actual value, at press time is bound to be the cover story. SP is always parading the pathetically short list of Atlanta A-Listers. These celebrities, if they were ever much to celebrate, fade quickly. It's the nature of the beast. Are these people even relevant in their respective fields anymore? So an opportunity to be more than advertising space and mindless reactionary news is wasted. Don't expect this publication to make you think.

The lies and half truths given by this company are borderline illegal. If they come to you claiming someone recommended you to them, THEY ARE NOT TELLING YOU THE TRUTH!! As a Business owner I was promised to reach 100k people in the Atlanta "Gay community" After paying more than I should have at the time I have not seen one single client from this sham of a marketing company. If these people come into your business or call you tell them you don't want anything to do with them.. It will save you some serious cash. I only wish I would have seen someone else's reviews of this scam before I wasted valuable money that could have been better spent..

This year, it's gone to the extreme. They really have turned me into the bad guy. What really pissed me off this year... They actually used the Pulse shootings in their sales pitch this year. THAT WAS DISGUSTING! That shooting happened about a mile away from my house and took serious offense for them to use that shooting as a sales pitch. It was about a month after I snapped at their sales agent that I got called again from them. I forwarded our records to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This was over the summer that all this went down. What got me is the audacity for them to try calling us today. One of my guys was harassed by their sales agent. I called to handle this with someone. Got a gatekeeper who was the most condescending freak that I ever dealt with. Never gave me her name or position and wouldn't provide when asked. All these people are doing are exploiting the community in a horrible way. Maybe if they go to a business class, they might have a chance in making a success.
