Absolutely incredible!…read more Dr. Gary Newman was wonderful. I was referred to him because routine testing showed positive. He immediately set my mind at ease. The procedure was over in minutes and totally comfortable. He made sure I felt good before I left, both physically and mentally. They just don't come any better.

(The following is a copy of my Google review). This is INSANITY. They will not answer the phone…read more(4844768390) at this place!! I spoke to a receptionist on 4/5 and was told I'd receive a call back within a few days to schedule a routine procedure. It's 4/19 and I haven't heard from them. They never called so I started attempting to call them last week. I called on 4/15. I sat on hold for over 45 minutes (47 to be exact). I couldn't hold anymore so I hung up. On 4/15 I tried again and sat on hold for 52 minutes. Again, I hung up. Simply to speak to a receptionist to make an appointment for a procedure. You can't make an appointment any other way for the procedure I need. No option on MyChart. I'm on hold AGAIN right now...37 minutes. Edit: wow...after holding for 42 minutes, a phone started to ring and I got excited thinking that finally someone was going to answer. Nope, it rang 6 times, placed back on hold. What is going on at that office??? This is infuriating. Edit again: they returned my call the next day (today 4/21) and I couldn't answer as I was at work. Then they sent a letter to My Chart, they've tried to reach me, they care about my health. To reach out to them at the same # that they don't answer the phone at. I'm done with these people and already have a referral to a different gastroenterologist. Edit 4/26/26: I decided to make one last attempt to call them on 4/21, right after I posted the above edit and was able to get through after holding for 26 minutes. The person I spoke to said that there is some sort of issue with their phone system and that they have no way of knowing how long someone has been on hold before they answer the call. She transferred me to someone else in order to do a pre-procedure screening. That person explained to me that they had no procedure availability at Lankenau until July, if I wanted to schedule with Riddle, I could be seen before July. As I've already waited weeks at this point because of the lack of a return phone call weeks ago and all of my unsuccessful attempts to reach them, I opted for Riddle. I explained to the person at Lankenau that I could only pick up my phone after 3:30. Explained my frustration with their phone situation. She told me that she'd forward my information on to Riddle and would request that they call me on Weds 4/22 3:30-4. I watched my phone for that call on Weds 4/22. No call. On Friday 4/24 at 9:04AM, my phone rang with a call from Lankenau I was at work but answered the call. The person from Lankenau was calling to do the same pre-procedure screening that I was told on 4/21 that Riddle would be calling me to do. I explained to her that I spoke to someone at Lankenau on Tuesday who said they'd forward my info to Riddle, that I'd receive a call from Riddle but that call never came. She apologized, said she was going to reach out to Riddle when we got off the phone and she'd ask them to call me on that day, Fri 4/24 after 3:30. NO PHONE CALL FROM RIDDLE AS PROMISED. Today is 4/26, Sunday. Why is it IMPOSSIBLE to schedule a very common/simple procedure?? They don't answer the phones and when they reach out to you with a letter in MyChart, they ask you to call back the exact same # which leaves one on hold for ridiculous amounts of time. I'll call Riddle tomorrow and if I can't get this resolved, I'm going elsewhere. I took the time to write this review with the hope that Lankenau does something to correct this issue. I can see the other reviews and I see that I'm not the only one experiencing this. The other reviews were written months ago so if there truly is an issue with their phone system, they've had ample time for time to correct it. God forbid someone has a serious issue such as cancer and they can't even reach their provider. I see the response above about contacting a patient advocate...why should someone have to do that over such a simple issue of phones not being answered and outgoing calls not being made as promised?

This is unprofessional. Today when I went in, what a total difference they were all apologetic and extremely nice and helpful. They must've been having a bad Friday.

"Dr. Lim was so cool, I sort of wish we were friends (instead of him being just some guy who stared up into my abyss). & there's none of the conversational awkwardness you get from most doctors (who tend to be bad at speaking to actual people)". When you have the full examination under anesthesia, Dr. Lim's office will also mail you a stack of color photo print outs of your insides with accompanying notes so you don't have to rely on vague descriptions of what is/ isn't abnormal up in there. I brought those to the specialist he referred me to; that person said it was helpful to have clear color photos for a change. After the surgery I wound up needing, that other specialist said my whole family should also get checked, so I convinced my sister to see Dr. Lim. She loved the guy, everything about the system & the procedure they have there (everything except for the actual butt examination, I assume) and she still mentions how much she liked him.
