Walking into Jacarandá for the first time is like stumbling into Narnia. Even though it is just a short distance from Rebouças Ave., as soon as you go through the front gate, you find yourself in a secluded little oasis in the middle of São Paulo, where you can enjoy good food, good beverages - and even take something with you when you leave.
There are plenty of good options, of which I tried the empanadas, salad, pork ribs and chocolate cake. I only wish I had ordered a wine, which is one of the restaurant's highlights. Considering the quality of the food, service and setting, it was surprisingly inexpensive. Even the coffee was great: the Jacarandá Blend created by Isabela Raposeiras.
On your way out, don't skip the "country store", which features quality products like seasonings, olive oil, coffee, hot sauce and cachaças. read more
