I'm pretty terrible at reading trail maps, but I believe we took the Bluebird trail and followed the signs to Grapevine Lake. The trail leads you right down to the water, where there is a nice little shore to throw rocks and splash around in. Someone even hung a tree swing a few hundred feet up from the lake. So fun! I can't speak for all the trails, but this particular trail was not entirely stroller friendly. I have a pretty nice jogger and a strong man to push it, so we did ok on the trail to Grapevine Lake, but the trail is very narrow in parts and most strollers will be too wide. You need one that is pretty much built for off-roading. The nature center might have a bathroom inside, but all I saw was a porta potty behind a privacy wall. Now is the time to get out and enjoy some outdoor exercise. The weather is crisp and nature is calling. Make your way to Bob Jones Nature Center and take advantage of the beautiful trails and gorgeous lake views.

Then we did the exhibit hall. You go through each exhibit. You cannot go just to the exhibits you are interested in- it is pretty one way, from start to finish... which was quite unfortunate for my 4 yo as she turned the corner and saw a giant robotic t-rex start roaring and moving. But the exhibits were very educational. I LOVED THE SCIENCE AND HISTORY they present here. My favorite was the Hall of the Founders of Science. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked. There are vending machines, but no food services. But that's okay, we went out to lunch nearby afterwards. They also have lectures- check their website for showtimes and special events!

Their selection feels very curated and has a beautiful vibe. The store is rather quiet and there is plenty of room to walk around. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful if you need anything and will have genuine conversations with you during check out! The only downside, is this store is located in the Bishop Arts area where parking is scarce. I'd recommend coming during a weekday, if you're able, as parking is more manageable! Once parked, this area is bustling with lots of other cute shops as well!

So, is it called 1976 because many believe it is the most consequential year in the history of modern China? (It's Chinese-American owned). Or is the birth year of one of the Law family siblings? I'd guess it's bridging old school 1976 analog craftsmanship with the digital revolution-led letterpress and screen printing, since the store is the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern design, with a fully operational letterpress studio (they produce their own stationery), housing vintage, antique printing presses. They also curate independent art and host hands-on workshops. So, the name We Are 1976 suggests a collective identity rooted in a specific era, and their tagline "our dear assembly" is likely their way of saying, "This is the group of people, machines, and beautiful objects we have gathered together." Honestly, I just went in looking for a bathroom. They are 1976 but I was #2.
