Researching, checking every site, try to use credit points, etc. Well, I had never used a travel agent before this and thought I'd been doing OK. Well, I was wrong. Karen at Canary got me a price on my Vegas Vacation for $100 less than any price I found online. Plus, she helped me stay aware of some extras I could take advantage of with the reservation. She was very nice and extremely promt in finding prices and getting back to me. She understands how important timing is with travel. You can hold a price on a reservation for 24 hours. Once you decide you pay a deposit at the time of reservation and then the rest by the time its 4 weeks prior to the trip. Beats paying everything at once! They also offer risk free trip insurance for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend calling Canary to check out what they can do for you on your next trip before you say yes to Expedia or Travelocity. I was so glad my mom and dad referred me to them after they used Canary for their last trip to Vegas.

They used to have a dedicated insurance rep who would handle your policy. No more, and no one calls back. When I finally got through to a line, it was an answering machine. Once for a Jack Long who never called back (it has been 13 days since I called). And twice for a Beth Schwartzo (sp?). Tried to call again today, got transfered to Beth again - machine says her answering machine is full and then transfers me to start the whole cycle all over again. NOT RECOMMENDED for Insurance purchases at all!!!!

They also know the lay of the land, pricing-wise, and can tell if a fare will go down in the near future, ensuring I buy at the right time. They charge $35 to book a flight and I always feel like it's worth it... especially when I need someone to call during the trip if a flight is cancelled or hotel overbooked. No 20 minute holds or off-shore phone reps with this company. Highly recommended.

I know most people just book things online themselves these days, but when I went to Europe about five years ago I found a travel agent (A woman at AAA Travel) to be very helpful and took away a lot of the stress I normally get with planning things. Well, a friend recommended Evelyn at Pro Travel and said that she and her family had used her numerous times with success. So a couple weeks ago I called Evelyn and she was very friendly, but she did not handle Asia so she was going to have a gentleman who specialized in Asian trips give me a call back. I never got a call back. So I decide to try again because it's getting close to the time I need to get my sh*t together for this trip. The second time around the operator connected me with Pat who said she could help me. Pat was friendly at first but after our initial 5 minute phone conversation it became apparent in emails that she was not familiar with travel to Asia and I was having to Google answers to my own questions because she just gave me general/basic information. It was only after I found a flight I liked that she said they charge $35 to book international flights. To be fair I had spur of the moment booked a tour though Contiki because it was almost sold out, but I was wanting a knowledgeable travel agent to help me with the flight, transfers and extra hotel stays before and after the tour. I had been up front about this but when I questioned the fee I received a terse lecture like email telling me I was taking a risk booking on my own and she didn't know why I didn't come to her from the start. I have no problem with paying a fee as long as I am told about it from the start and the service I am getting is actually helpful. I had been hoping to establish a connection with Pro Travel as I plan on taking trips to Spain and the UK in the future, but my brief experience with them has deterred me from seeking a travel agent again. Maybe you'll have better luck with them like my friend did, I just would not recommend Pat.

Jeanette patiently worked through the many changes for our trip. We stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort on the Disney property and it was very nice. The rooms were clean and quite soundproof. Noisy neighbors were never an issue. The grounds were well maintained and the staff was incredibly accommodating. The bus transportation to the parks was timely and readily available. We rented two vans and Enterprise was spot on with having the vehicles ready and making the drop off seamless. In addition, we rented a scooter for a family member from Scooter Bug and it was a blessing as he was able to maneuver about the parks successfully despite the incredible volume of visitors. We also spent a day visiting Kennedy Space Center and took a bus tour. Kennedy Space Center was very nice and we all learned a great deal. Our flights to and from Cleveland were smooth and on time. In Summary, Jeanette allowed us to enjoy a much needed vacation as a family at Disney without stressing over the details of the trip. Thank you.

I loved my California AAA, but now I'm in Ohio using AAA Auto Club Indemnity Company. REPEATEDLY they have failed to process my auto-payment leaving me with NO insurance, but here's the kicker! They don't call me, they don't email me... they send me a letter in the US mail!!!! Multiple time I have been driving with NO insurance. Last month, September, my rep did email and call me while I was in Mexico and she was able to process my payment and assured me it would NOT happen again. Low and behold, happened again this month. I had been driving for 3 days without insurance. Had to cancel our anniversary dinner so I could try to make a payment on a Saturday at 6pm which no one at AAA was available after hours to help me. I logged into the portal to make an online payment, the portal couldn't even find my policy!!!! I went online to Geico and got a temporary insurance so I wasn't held hostage in my house until Monday. This is awful... after all these years to be forced to cancel my insurance like this. If you are on the east coast, I DO NOT recommend you using AAA of any branch. They left me extremely vulnerable. What would have happened if I was in a car accident and hurt someone or myself (forget about the car!). Shame on you AAA, SHAME ON YOU!
